B) The espresso temperature is too low:

the lter and lter holder, in order to
preheat the system.
• Preheatthecups.
• Decalcifytheappliance.
C) The ow speed decreases notice-
ably:
• Donotpresstheespressogroundstoo
rmly into the lter.

nely(“medium”neness).
• Decalcifytheappliance.
D) The espresso is owing out of the
side of the lter holder:
• Ensurethatthelterholderhasbeen
placed correctly.

I) The coee machine switches itself
o while operating:
• Theappliancepumpisequippedwith
a temperature fuse that protects it
from overheating. The temperature
fuse interrupts the machine’s opera-
tion, if the machine is operated for
too long or if the pump is run without
water.
• Settheselectordialto“0”andremove
the plug from the mains socket.

20 minutes. Fill up with water.
