The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an
equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to th e
presence of uninsulated "dangerous voltage" within the
product's enclosure that m ay b e o f s ufficient magnitude
to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
READ INSTRUCTIONS — A ll the safety and operating
instructions should be r ead before the product is
operated.
RETAIN INSTRUCTIONS — The safety and operatin

CLEANING
— T he product should be cleaned only with
a polishing cloth or a soft dry cloth. Never clean with
furniture wax, ben z ine, insecticides o r other volatile
liquids since they may corrode the cabinet

WATER A ND M OISTURE
— Do not use this p roduct
near
water — for e xample, near a b athtub, wash
bowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub; in

ACCESSORIES
— Do not place this product on an
unstable c art, stand, t ripod, b racket, or t able. T h
e
product may
fall, causing serious injury to a child or
adult, and serious damage to the product. Use only

recommended by the manufacturer, or sold

CART
— A product and cart comb i nation should be
moved
with care. Quick stops, excessive force , and
uneven surfaces m ay cause the product a nd car

combination to overturn

VENTILATION
— Slots and openings in the cabinet are
prov i de d for ven t il a ti o n a n d to ensu r e rel i ab l
e
operation of the product and
to protect it from
overh e ati n g, and t h ese ope n ing s m u st not b e
blocked or covered. The openings should never be
blocked by placing the product on
a bed, sofa, rug,
or other
similar surface. This product should not be
placed
in a built-in installati o n such a s a bookcase or
rack unless proper ventilat i on
is provided or the
manufacturer’s instructions have been adhered
to.
POWER SOURCES
— This product should be operated
only from t he type of power source indicated on
the
marking label. If you are not sure of the type of
power s upply
to y our h ome, c onsult y our product
dealer or local power company.
LOCATIO
N – The appliance sh o uld be installed in a
stable location.
NONUSE PERIOD
S – The power cord of the appliance
should be unplugged from the
outlet when left un-
used for a long period of time.
GROUNDING OR POLARIZATION
• I f this product is e quipped with a p olarized alternating
current line plug
(a plug having one blade wider than
the other),
it will fit into the outlet o nly one way. This
is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug
fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug
should
still fail to fit, contact your electrician to
replace your obsolete
outlet. Do not defeat the
safety purpose of the polarized plug.
• If thi s pro duct i s equ ipped w i t h a th ree-w i r e
grounding type plug,
a plug having a third (grounding)
pin,
it will only fit into a grounding type power outlet.
This
is a safety feature. If you are unable to inser t the
plug
into the outlet, conta c t your electrician to
replace your obsolete
outlet. Do not defeat the
safety purpose of the grounding type plug.
POWER-CORD PROTECTION
- P ower-supply cords
should be routed so t hat they a re not l ikely
to be
walked on or pinched b y
items placed upon or
against them, paying particular attention
to cords at
plugs, convenienc e receptacles , and the point where
they exit from the product
.
OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING
— If an outside
antenna or cable system is connected to the product
,
be sure the antenna or cable system
is grounded so
as to provide some protection against voltage surges
and built-up static charges. Article 810 of the National
Electr ical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, provides informa tio
n
with regard to proper grounding o f the mast and
supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire
to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding
condu c tors , l o cat i on o f a n tenn a -di s char g e un i t,
c on n ec t io n t o gr o un di n g e l ec tr o de s , a nd
requ irement s for the groundi ng electr ode. See Figure
A.
LIGHTNING
— F or added protection for this product
during
a lightning storm, or w hen i t i s left u nattended
and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from
the
wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable
system. This
will prevent damage to the p roduct
due to lightning and power-line surges.
POWER L INES
— An outside a ntenna system should
not be located
in the vicinity of overhead power l i nes
or other electric light or power circuits, or where it
can
fall into such power lines or circuits. When
installing an outside antenna system, extreme car
e
should be taken
to keep from touching such power
lines or circuits a s contact with them might be
fatal.
OVE RLOADI NG — Do no t over load w a l l outl e ts ,
extens ion cords, or integral convenienc e receptacle s
as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY
- N ever push objects of
any kind
into this product through openings as they
may touc h dangerous voltage points or s h ort-out
parts that could result
in a fire or electric shock.
Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.
SERVICING
— Do not attempt to service this p roduct
yourself as opening or removing covers may expose
you
to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all
servicing to qualified service personnel
.
DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE
- Unplug this product
from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualifie
d
service personnel under the following conditions:
• W hen the power-supply cord or plug is damaged.
• If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into
the product
.
• I f the product has been exposed to rain or water.
• If the p roduct does n o t operate normally by following
the operating instructions. Adjust only those c ontrols
that are covered by the operating instructions as an
improper adjustment of other controls may result
in
damage and will often require extensive work by
a
qualified technician
to restore the product to its
normal operation.
• If the product has been dropped or damaged in any
way.
• W hen the product exhibits
a distinct change in
performance — this indicates a need for service.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
-- W hen replacement parts
are re q uired, b e sure the s ervice technician has used
replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or
have the same characteristics a s the o riginal part.
Unauthorized substitutions may result i n f ire, e lectric
shock, or other hazards.
SAFETY CHECK - Upon c ompletion of a ny service or
repairs
to this product, ask the service technician to
perform s afety checks
to det e rmine t hat the product
is in proper operating condition.
WALL OR CEILING MOUNTING
— T he product should
not be mounted to a wall or ceiling.
HEAT
— The product should b e situated away f r om heat
sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or
other products (including
amplifiers) that produce
heat
.
