Area of use
The handsets are intended for indoor and outdoor
use. However, they are not resistant to rain, misuse,
water or other careless treatment.
Under ideal conditions (no obstacles between the
handsets) the handsets will transmit up to 3 km.
Batteries
The unit requires three quality AAA 1.5V batteries
to function (not included). New alkaline batteries
will last for approximately 25 hours in standby or
2-3 hours talk time.

Press the round button in the middle of the clip
and rotate the belt clip a quarter turn, remove
the battery cover.

Insert the batteries ensuring correct polarity is
observed, re t the battery cover and rotate the
belt clip.
Switch the handset on/off by turning the
volume control until a click is heard.

Optional A Pack
Headset
The headset socket located next to the aerial is
labelled

SPK/MIC
). When connecting a headset
from the optional A Pack, use the
PTT
button on the
cable to talk.
Please note!
The headset ringer signal and headset volume may initially be very
loud. Adjust the volume control immediately you connect the headset.
Charging
Warning!
When charging never use ordinary (non-
rechargeable) batteries in the handset,
since this will ruin the equipment. The
guarantee does not cover this type of
damage.
Upon installing the supplied rechargeable batteries ensure
correct polarity is observed, connect the adapter to the
PTT/CHG
socket. The handset must be switched
ON
before charging will occur and cannot be used to transmit
while charging. The battery indicator will stop  ashing when
charging is complete (approximately 8 hours).
Please note!
When the unit is installed, the batteries must be charged for 10-15
hours before using the handset. The recharging system used in this
model may result in the handset and the batteries becoming warm.
This is normal and will not damage the equipment.

months from the date of purchase. Proof of
purchase is required for any service or support
required during the guarantee period. This

maintained or any other circumstances on the
purchaser’s part. Furthermore, this guarantee shall
not apply to a faults caused by the use of poor
quality batteries, battery leakage, corrosion or
similar events related to batteries. This guarantee
