b) Connection and operation
• The product‘s design complies with protection class I. Only an earthed mains
socket connected to the public power supply may be used as power supply to
the product.
• The mains socket into which the time switch is inserted must be easily accessible.
• The time switch is equipped with a child safety lock. Only when the prongs of the
power plug are placed in both openings of a front socket at the same time will the
child-lock mechanism release the opening.
Nevertheless, take special caution when children are around. Children cannot rec-
ognise the danger arising from the incorrect use of electrical devices. There is a
