BT Decor 1571 will indicate when
you have received a voice message
by the message waiting indicator
light flashing.
BT Answer 1571 and Call Minder
are invisible answer machines
located at your local exchange
which will take messages when
you are out, engaged on another
call or on the Inter

To enable your BT Decor 1571 to
let you know you have messages
you must first subscribe to a BT
messaging ser
BT Answer 1571 is a basic
answering ser
completely free of charge. To
activate the serFreefone
0800 003 800.

dial tone.
Press and hold the1571 button for
3 seconds. Y

few seconds you will be
connected automatically to your

When in 1571 mode, you are able
to play
messages using the dedicated
One-Touch buttons on your
BT Decor 1571. These are
labelled Play
Press the M1 button to PLA
messages.
Press the M2 button to SA
messages.
Press the M3 button to DELETE
your messages.
Note
The message waiting indicator
is activated by a stuttered dial
tone which you can hear when
you pick up your phone. BT
Calling Features, such as Call
Diversion and Call Bar
a stuttered dial tone so therefore
will cause the message waiting
indicator to flash even if no
messages have been left.
IMPOR
If you dial 1571 manually using
the keypad(and not entered via
the 1571 button) the One-Touch
buttons will not dial the correct
code to play
message. Therefore, if you have
stored numbers in these memories
they will be dialled out as well.
If you do dial 1571 manually
follow the announcements to play
save and delete your messages
using the keypad.

After an incoming call, or
after lifting the handset, your

1. Revolve the handset catch to
keep the handset in place when
wall mounted.
2. Locate lugs and mount the
plinth provided into the holes
under the base unit as shown.
3. Swing the plinth down to clip
into the top hole.
4. Drill 2 holes, 25mm deep using
a 3mm drill, for the screws
provided, using the template.
Ensure that you do not drill
any hidden wiring or pipes.

head of the screw and the wall.
