Installation and handling of the components

First of all, please choose the most convenient position for the monitor and the installation pad

in your vehicle by attaching the monitor to the pad and checking different positions in the

vehicle. It is very important to observe impact areas for occupants (amongst others the airbag

zone), surface consistency (depending on the type of fastening), free sight to the monitor (no

impaired sight out of the windshield), removability of the monitor from the installation pad as well

as to a convenient possibility for placing the cable.

After having found a suitable position for the monitor in the vehicle you can mount / attach the

installation pad accordingly. Please use the enclosed cleaning cloth for degreasing the

surfaces you want to attach the retainer to. Please note that in case of high variations in

temperature - depending on the structure and the features - decolorizations of the surfaces can

occur during the subsequent utilization.

Connect the microphone to the left side of the monitor. If possible, please pass the cable in a

way that it does not lie or hang about unfastened in the vehicle and that it may not influence the

conducting of the vehicle.

When passing the cable, please take care that it is not under traction stress but that it has some

tolerance. Avoid crushing the cable as damages of the insulation can be caused by

friction/rubbing.

Install the electronics box at a convenient place in the vehicle. This can e.g. be behind the radio,

in the glove box, or in the centre console. Please mind that you can access the connections of

the box without difficulty. Before connecting the components to the electronics box you should

branch off the battery for safety reasons. In doing so, take into account that there might be a

radio coding (confer radio manual).

The power supply of the hands-free car kit is established via a 4-core cable. Connect the black

(clamp 31 minus), the red (clamp 30 steady plus) and the blue cable (clamp 15 ignition plus) to

the power supply of your radio (where required via the cigarette lighter or the fuse box). After

connection to the counterpart, the yellow cable provides for radio muting during a phone

conversation. Please connect the white Molex connector with connection 1 (confer picture on

the next page).

ATTENTION: If you also connect the blue cable to clamp 30, the hands-free car kit will be

permanently supplied with power. If the vehicle is not running for a longer period, this could lead

to a discharge of the car battery.

Il montaggio del sistema di navigazione può essere eseguito da voi, rispettando

le indicazioni per il montaggio del produttore dell'auto (VAS 1978). Durante

l'installazione, parcheggiare il veicolo in modo che non intralci il traffico stradale.

Consigliamo di fare effettuare il montaggio da un'officina specializzata.

Questo sistema è stato progettato per l'uso in autoveicoli con rete di bordo di 12

Volt (autovetture). Prima di installare il dispositivo in un autoveicolo con una rete

di bordo di 24 Volt (camion) usare un trasformatore di tensione. La nostra hotline

risponderà volentieri a qualsiasi domanda relativa a questo tema.

Installare i componenti del dispositivo nell'autoveicolo in modo tale che non

ostacoli la vista e che i componenti non siano montati in una zona di scontro degli

occupanti del vano accanto al guidatore o nell'area di apertura dell'airbag. Per

staccare l'abbigliamento (con e senza airbag) o i componenti del cruscotto, in

alcuni casi sono necessari attrezzi e nozioni speciali.

Non mettere in funzione il dispositivo se si nota o presume un difetto. In questo

caso contattare la nostra hotline. Riparazioni non effettuate da esperti possono

rivelarsi pericolose. Per questo motivo, ogni controllo deve essere eseguito solo

da personale qualificato.

Non rispondiamo di danni e guasti causati dall'installazione e dall'uso non

conforme del sistema. Non esporre dunque l'apparecchio all'umidità, a

temperature estreme o a scosse e seguire precisamente le fasi di lavorazione

previste nelle istruzioni di montaggio e d'uso.

Fare uso del sistema solo in situazioni consentite dalla situazione del traffico ed

in cui non si compromette la sicurezza, danneggia, mette in difficoltà o disturba

gli altri partecipanti al traffico. Il volume dell'apparecchio deve essere impostato

in modo da poter continuare a percepire i rumori esterni.
