LED lighting. If you have any questions, contact the customer ser-

Intended Use

• The article is intended to be used for sweeping dry, smooth

hard ﬂ oors indoors.

• The articles are for personal use only and are not intended for

commercial applications.

• The articles should only be used as described in these instruc-

tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

• The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused

by improper handling, damage or unauthorised attempts at re-

pair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

■ WARNING – Danger of Suffocation! Keep the packaging ma-

terial away from children and animals.

■ WARNING – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! Batteries

can be deadly if swallowed. Keep batteries and articles out of

the reach of children and animals. If a battery is swallowed,

seek medical assistance immediately.

■ CAUTION – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! If a battery

leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid. Wear protec-

tive gloves if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse the af-

fected area with abundant fresh water immediately and contact

a doctor as soon as possible.

■ CAUTION – Danger of Dazzling! Never look directly into the

light source!

■ NOTE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property

– Use only the battery type speciﬁ ed in the “Technical Data”.

– Take batteries out of the article when they are dead or if the

article is not going to be used for a prolonged period. This will

prevent any damage if a battery leaks.

– Batteries must not be recharged or reactivated by other

means, dismantled, thrown into a ﬁ re, immersed in ﬂ uids, or

short-circuited.

– Protect the article from: impacts, heat, direct sunlight, sub-

zero temperatures, moisture and wet conditions.

– Do not make any changes to the article and do not attempt

to repair it. In the event of any damage, please contact our

customer service department.

– Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or

cleaning pads to clean the article. These could damage the

surfaces.

Before Initial Use / Assembly

1. Check the items supplied for completeness

and transport damage. If you ﬁ nd any dam-

age, do not use the articles (!), but rather

contact the customer service department im-

mediately.

2. To use the LED, insert three 1.5 V batteries,

AAA type into the battery compartment (see

below). This is located in the cleaning foot be-

low the stem mount.

3. Screw together the top, middle and bottom

parts of the stem.

4. Plug the bottom stem part as far as it will go

into the stem mount on the cleaning foot.

The ﬂ oor sweeper is now ready for use!

Inserting Batteries

1. Undo the screw of the battery compartment cover and then take

off the cover.

2. Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts on

the lights and on the batteries are clean, and clean them if nec-

essary.

3. Insert three 1.5 V batteries, AAA type into the battery compart-

ment. Ensure the correct

polarity (+ / –).

4. Insert the battery compartment cover and screw it on tight.

Replace the batteries when the power of the LED starts to wane.

PLEASE NOTE! Always replace all batteries together. Do not use

batteries of different types or brands, or batteries with different ca-

pacities.

Use

• Slide the cleaning foot with the wider side ﬁ rst over the surface

which is to be cleaned. The rotating brushes on the bottom con-

vey the dirt into the dirt container.

• Empty the dirt container after use (see below).

• Switching the LED on / off – Press the On / Off button.

Cleaning the Article

1. Hold the cleaning foot over an open dustbin.

2. Open up the lid of the dirt container and tip

out the dirt. Wipe out the dirt container with a

damp cloth if necessary.

3. Use the cleaning brush that is supplied to

remove hair and ﬂ uff from the brushes on a

regular basis.
