Batteries may explode if they
are excessively heated up or
recharged.
Do not expose the pedometer
or the battery to heat.
Keep the pedometer and the
battery away from hot surfaces
and objects.
Do not throw the pedometer or
the battery in an open fire.
Protect the pedometer and the

Never recharge or short-circuit
the battery and do not take it
apart.
Only replace the battery with
one of the same or similar type.
WARNING!
Risk of chemical burns from
battery acid!
Leaking battery acid may lead to
chemical burns.
To minimize the increased
danger of leakage, never
expose the battery to excessive
heat such as sunlight, fire or
the like.
Remove dead batteries from
the pedometer immediately.
Remove the battery when the
pedometer is not in use for a
longer period of time.
Do not allow battery acid to
come into contact with skin,
eyes or mucus membranes.
In the event of contact with
battery acid, immediately
flush the applicable areas
with plenty of clean water and

the pedometer.
1. Use only a soft, damp, lint-free
cloth to clean the pedometer.
2. Remove any remaining
moisture entirely from the
display.

Troubleshooting and
FAQs
Before submitting a claim about
the pedometer, check the battery
and change it if required.
Also review this section to solve
your problem.
Why is the distance
displayed not the same as
my distance covered?
Have you performed a calibration?
For optimal results, the calibration
has to be performed for “walking
and also for “running.”
A shuffling gait, poor footwear
or uneven surfaces may result in
incorrect measurements.
When climbing stairs or hills the
distance measurement is reduced
as the pedometer has only been
designed for activities on even
surfaces.
Apply the same pace when
walking or running as when
calculating the step length.
Please be aware that the mea-
surements can be imprecise or
irregular for less active people.
What shall I do if my weight
changes?
Enter the new weight as the
original weight is saved until it is
changed.
How is the calorie output
measured?
The calorie output mainly
depends on the number of steps
and the body weight (insert
correct body weight!).
Why did the display of my
pedometer stop reacting?
If the display is “frozen” or shows
irregular symbols:
Take the battery out and
reinsert it. This will reset the
microprocessor.
After the reset, the pedometer
should be back to functioning as
usual.
The display is weak, hardly
legible – what can I do?
Replace the battery as soon as the
display starts to diminish or when
it is fully faded. Always ensure
the battery polarities are aligned
correctly. When the battery is
removed and reinserted the
personal data must be reset.
The display remains black –
what is wrong?
The ambient temperature might
be too high. In this case make sure
to operate the pedometer only
between 32 °F and 104 °F
(0 °C40 °C).
The display may have been ex-
posed to direct sunlight for too
long and is now damaged. In this
case contact customer service.

these settings to
calculate meaningful
values of calorie
consumption and fat
burning.
If the height is changed
after calibration, all
calibration data will be
lost and the step length

Pedometer calibration
By calibrating the
pedometer it automa-
tically calculates your
step length for running
and walking.
We strongly recom-
mend calibrating the
pedometer to your
personal movement
pattern. Otherwise the
pedometer will use
only statistical data
based on the weight
and height input by the
user. The performance
of the pedometer will
not work within its full
capacity.
You can enter the distance for
calibration in multiples of
100 meters. 100 meters are
109.36 yards. This means that
you should walk/run a distance
of at least 100 m or 109.36 yards
for calibration. This is the usual
length of a track in a stadium.
1. You can toggle between “YES”
and “NO” with MODE
1
.
2. Press SEL

or choose “NO”, if you want to
calibrate the pedometer later.
If you choose “YES” the pedometer
enters into Calibration RUNWALK
