3. USE
Place the toaster on a at, even surface. Check that the crumb
collector is installed and connect the appliance. Insert bread in
the slot and press the lever. To stop the toaster before the end of
the cycle, press Stop or raise the lever.
N.B. Model CPT180E features 2 separate control sets, allowing
you to toast 2 types of bread at the same time. If you wish to
toast 4 slices, both control sets must be used.
A. Setting the browning level of the slice
Turn the control button on the desired level.
The browning of your toasts varies depending on the type of
bread and degree of humidity of the slices. As a general rule, for
medium toasting, set your toaster on level 4-5 to toast denser
bread or fresh bread and on 2-3 for toasting stale bread.
B. Using the various settings
By using the various settings Toast , Defrost and
Reheat you adjust the necessary time depending on the
type of bread and toasting level desired. Each setting can be
combined with the browning level control button. For your
facility a light indicator shows the selected setting.
Adds the amount of time necessary to toast more, or
to toast bread rolls or thicker slices.
Adds the time necessary to rst defrost the bread,
then toast it.
Allows to heat up your toasts, without toasting them a
second time.
N.B. If you wish to cancel the selection, press Stop. This will stop
the cycle and raise the bread.
A few tips...
1. Bread rolls, muns or thick slices should be toasted longer. We
recommend to use the setting, then to set the toasting
level according to your preferences.
2. To toast croissants, cut them in half horizontally and select the
setting. To reheat them only, use the setting.
3. When toasting fruit breads, remove any loose fruits from the
surface of the bread in order to prevent fruit pieces from fal-
ling into the toaster or sticking on the guide wires in the slot.
4. If you are toasting a single slice of bread, set the heat selector
to a lighter setting than you normally would.
4. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Let the appliance cool down completely and disconnect it
before cleaning. Wipe the the outside of the toaster with a clean
damp cloth, then dry it carefully.
To remove crumbs, slide out the crumb tray and throw the brea-
dcrumbs away, then put the crumb collector back in place. Do
not use the toaster without the crumb collector.
