1. Extract the tank (A12) and exhausted lter;

2. Take the new lter out of its packet and proceed as illus-

trated in points 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 in the previous section;

3. Press to enter the "Settings" menu;

4. Press the scroll arrows (B3) or (B5) until

"Maintenance" is displayed, then press ;

5. Press the scroll arrows until "Replace lter" is displayed,

then press ;

6. Press to conrm;

7. Place an empty container with a minimum capacity of 500

ml under the hot water/steam spout (E), then press

(g. 8) to start delivery;

8. After the ow of hot water stops, the appliance automati-

cally reverts to ready for use again.

The new lter is now active and the coee machine can be used.

Please note:

After two months (see date indicator) or when the appliance has

not been used for 3 weeks, you should replace the lter even if

the message has not yet been displayed.

15.3 Removing the lter

If you want to use the appliance without the lter (C4), you

must remove it and notify the appliance of its removal. Proceed

as follows:

1. Extract the tank (A12) and exhausted lter;

2. Press (B2) to enter the "Settings" menu;

3. Press the scroll arrows (B3) or (B5) until

"Maintenance" is displayed, then press (B4);

4. Press the scroll arrows or until "Remove l-

ter" is displayed, then press ;

5. Press to conrm removal. The appliance goes back

to the previous screen;

6. Then press twice to exit the menu.

Please note:

After two months (see date indicator) or when the appliance has

not been used for 3 weeks, you should replace the lter even if

the message has not yet been displayed.

16.1 Tips for Energy Saving

• To reduce energy consumption, remove the milk container

(D) or other accessories;

• Set auto-o to 15 minutes (see section "6.4 General");

• Enable Energy Saving (see paragraph "6.4 General");

• When requested by the machine, perform the descaling

cycle (see section "13. Descale").

17. DISPLAYED MESSAGES

DISPLAYED MESSAGE POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY

Fill tank Insucient water in the tank (A12). Fill the tank with water and/or insert it correct-

ly, pushing it as far as it will go until it clicks

into place (g. 5).

The tank (A12) is not correctly in place. Insert the tank correctly and press as far as it

will go (g. 5).

Empty grounds container The grounds container (A23) is full. Empty the grounds container and drip tray

(A22), clean and replace. Important: when

removing the drip tray, the grounds contain-

er MUST be emptied, even if it contains few

grounds. If this is not done, when you make

the next coees, the grounds container may ll

up more than expected and clog the machine.

Insert grounds container After cleaning, the grounds container (A23)

has not been replaced.

Remove the drip tray (A22) and insert the

grounds container.
