The appliance conducts a live current, as long as it is connected to the
mains supply. Please disconnect the mains plug from the socket, if the
appliance is not in use and prior to cleaning.
• Switchtheapplianceoff,beforeyoudisconnectthemainsplugfrom
the socket.
• Nevercarrytheappliancebyholdingthemainscable.
• Caution!
The voltage selection switch 120V / 230V on the underside of the
appliance must always correspond to the local voltage. An
incorrect setting could result in damage to the appliance.
• Neverfillwaterintothekettle,whenthemainsplugisconnectedto
the power supply. Disconnect the mains plug prior to filling the kettle
with water.
• Cautionscaldinghazard!
The kettle becomes very hot during use and hot steam escapes from
thespout(1).Therefore,onlygripthekettleonthehandle.
• Onlyusethekettlewiththelidclosed.
Note:
The appliance has overheating protection, which automatically
switches the kettle off, if too little water is filled into it. In such a case,
allow the kettle to cool down completely, prior to filling it with water
again.
