In the time program you can set 2 heating times
and 2 economy times for each weekday. In the time
program the week days are numbered from 1-7
(1=Monday to 7=Sunday).
Setting your own time program:
Press the button
Use the thumb wheel to select the day/block of days
Confirm with the button
Use the thumb wheel to set the beginning of the
1st heat time
Confirm with the button
Use the thumb wheel to set the beginning of the
1st economy time
Confirm with the button
Use the thumb wheel to set the beginning of the
2nd heating time1

Use the thumb wheel to set the beginning of the
2nd economy time1
Confirm with the button
Conclude the process with the button.
Or select the next week day or block of days.

The valve is now closed and will work without
a time program.
If you open a window and consequently the temp-
erature drops significantly, SPARmatic will
automatically close the heating valve in order to save
energy. In this case the display will show .
After 10 minutes SPARmatic will resume normal
operation. You can also open the valve before the
10 minutes have elapsed by pressing the
button.

If the temperature drops below 6°C, then SPARmatic
will open the valve until the temperature again rises
above 8°C. This prevents the radiators from freezing.
Calcification-protection functio
To prevent radiator valves from calcifying,
SPARmatic executes a calcification protection
movement once a week on Friday mornings. Another
adaptation is executed in this process to adjust to
any changes that may have occurred to the valve seat.

You can lock SPARmatic to protect the device from
unauthorized activation. To do this press the buttons
at the same time for more than
2 seconds until BLOC appears in the display; use
this button combination to release the block.

Use the button to switch to MANU mode
Resetting SPARmatic / all reset
Often the perceived temperature significantly
deviates from the set thermostat temperature,
for example due to spatial distance to the
radiator. For this reason you should execute a
temperature set up that is specifically adapted to
your room situation. To do this press the button
for 5 seconds. The degree setting will flash in the
display. Now set the desired temperature increase
on the SPARmatic unit. Confirm your entry with the
button. The temperature shown in the
LCD display does not change!

Activate the vacation function by pressing the
+ buttons at the same time. The
suitcase icon will be shown in the display.
Use the thumb wheel to select the end of your vacation
function (= date for resumption of regular heating
times.) Confirm the entry with the button.
Now enter the time (=resumption of regular heating
times) and again confirm with the button.
Now enter the vacation temperature and confirm
your entry with the button.
After pressing the key again the vacation
function is activated. The suitcase icon is shown in
the display. Press the button again to
deactivate the vacation function.
