Lines under Test

The CE2N-416 control unit allows you to test the lines without it activating the alarm outputs and the

tone signals from the keypads.

Under the test mode, the line is activated according to the programmed modes (for example, a

delayed line keeps the input/output time, even when it is being tested).

An alarm on lines being tested is signalled on the keypad display, on the red LED of the keypad and

on the key reader. The alarm is recorded in the historic log.

A line being tested generates a self-protection alarm (if the line is conﬁgured as single or double

balancing).

ATTENTION: if a line is excluded manually or it is being TESTED and the system is COMPLETELY

ARMED, the CHBUS reader will show the LED permanently green (all armed), the keypad will display

the zone/s excluded even if the system is completely armed and will display the words “CENTRALE

PARTE INSERITA”. The event log will record the zone exclusion and, if the system is completely

armed with one excluded zone, the words “TOTAL ACTIVATION” will be displayed.

Output function test

The CE2N-416 control unit allows the testing of all alarm outputs on the card by activating each of

them for about 3 seconds.

Walk test

The control unit allows you to quickly and efﬁciently check the correct operation of the sensors and

modules.

Place the control unit in “line walk test” mode and activate the sensors that you want to control.

The keypad buzzer will generate a tone every time the sensor is activated and the activation will be

recorded on the display.

Walk test Tamper

The control unit allows you to quickly and efﬁciently check the proper operation of the sensor self-

protections. Place the control unit in “walk test tamper” mode and open the cases of the sensors

that you want to control. The keypad buzzer will generate a tone every time that the contact is

activated and the activation will be recorded on the display.

Channel test

The control unit allows the test of the phone alarm channels and the correct dispatch of vocal and/

or digital messages to a speciﬁc number.

The call is sent without generating an effective alarm.

DTMF reception test

The control unit can test the reception of the DTMF tones.

This test allows you to understand if the CE2N-416 control unit recognizes the DTMF tones sent by

the phone line from a phone.

Choose an active channel and an associated phone number; press V to call.

If the problem is not solved, check the connection and/or check the signal quality

of the incoming phone line.
