5. STEAM DELIVERY

To make cappuccinos or heat beverages, the water temperature must be raised in order to

produce steam.

- Press the multifunction button

, the water heating up pilot light will flash to indicate

that the temperature is rising.

When the water heating up pilot light stops flashing and stays on, the water has reached

the right temperature and

MILLENNIUM is ready to deliver steam.

- Rotate the water / steam nozzle ( C ) outside ( FIG. F ).

- Place an empty container under the water / steam nozzle ( C ) and slowly turn the hot water

/ steam knob ( G ) ( FIG. F ) anticlockwise in order to let the water out of the circuit.

- Turn the water / steam knob ( G ) clockwise to the 0 position.

- Immerse the water / steam nozzle ( C ) in the milk or other beverage that you want to heat

and slowly turn the water / steam knob ( G ) anticlockwise. You will have a correct steam

delivery.

- When you do not need the steam any longer, turn the water / steam knob ( G ) clockwise to

the 0 position and clean the water / steam nozzle thoroughly with a wet cloth.

- Press the multifunction button

to cancel the steam function. The lights will come on

in order as long as the temperature is too high to make coffee. The coffee buttons will not

transmit any command. When the lights go off, MILLENNIUM is ready to make coffee.

If you want to speed up the cooling of the water which is inside the boiler, place a container under

the water / steam nozzle ( C ) and carefully let some hot water out of the water / steam nozzle

( C ) by slowly turning the water / steam knob ( G ) anticlockwise. The temperature will drop in

a few seconds. Turn the water / steam knob ( G ) clockwise to the 0 position.

When the temperature is still too high to make coffee the coffee buttons will not transmit any

command.

- To wash the brewing group thoroughly, turn the screw located above the coffee spout

anticlockwise with a coin so that the brewing chamber moves and you can wash the parts

which were hidden.

WARNING: The movement of the brewing chamber is restricted by locks. DO NOT FORCE them.

We advise you not to wash the brewing group in the dishwasher (although this would be

possible) because the coffee grounds would stick on the dishes.

- Clean

MILLENNIUM inside with a soft cloth.

- Remove possible coffee grounds with a soft brush.

- Reinsert the brewing group. With a coin turn the screw located above the coffee spout with

short anticlockwise movements while gently pushing the brewing group (FIG. N). In this

way you will be able to push a little the brewing group. Then push it completely into the unit.

(As soon as

MILLENNIUM is switched on, it will automatically position the brewing group

correctly).

- Tighten the brewing group set screw ( FIG. O ).

- Reinsert the safety cover (first lower tongues, then upper tongue) and screw the knob

(FIG. P).

- Close the brewing group housing door.

- Reinsert the coffee grounds box and the drip tray.

Lack of cleaning could cause an early wear of the brewing group gasket.
