Thank you for having chosen a product from the DATA ACQUISITION AND ANALYSIS SYSTEMS line from

GET by Athena Evolution. Certain that our passion and experience will be able to assist you in

successfully expressing yourself in any competition in which you may wish to participate, we invite you to

read this manual, confident that it will assist you in the use of your new GET by Athena Evolution device.

The MD60LOG device, thanks to GPS technology, enables real time recording and visualisation of lap times,

partial times and speed, without the use of external sensors.

Featuring great ease of use and flexibility, the MD60LOG contains, memorised in it, finish lines and sectors

for the major Italian and Spanish racetracks and enables the creation and customisation of any track. The

automatic recognition of the track will make the use of this device simple and intuitive.

The GPS (Global Positioning System) System, on which your GET instrument is based, uses a spherical

positioning system to determine the point where the receiver of the satellite signals is. By way of the

measurement of the time needed for a radio signal to cover the distance between satellite and receiver and

by knowing the precise position of at least 4 satellites, it is possible to determine the position in (3D) space of

the same receiver. The constellation of 24 satellites set in orbit at a 55° inclination with respect to the plane

of the equator, is at an altitude of between 18,000 and 20,000 km and a 12 hour orbit. The satellites transmit

signals at carrier frequencies of 1.2 and 1.5 GHz (to avoid possible errors derived from atmospheric

refraction), originated from a single high precision and high stability oscillator (atomic clock). The data

transmitted in these frequencies contain the information relative to the orbit and the hour signal (ephemeris

messages), enabling the receiver to carry out the calculations necessary to determine the position on the

Earth's surface.
