Setting television stations from the VCR-SAT module,
with manual search or by directly entering the
channel number
If you do not know the frequencies and station data of the current television stati-
on, or if the recorder cannot find a station with the search and save system, you
can start manual search.
If you know the frequencies and station data of the current television station, you
can enter this data directly.
Preparation
Switch on the television set.
Select the channel position »AV« on the television set for recorder playback.
Setting
1 Call up the main menu with » i INFO«.
2 Select the line » INSTALLATION« line with »

« and activate by
pressing » OK «.
3 Select the » CHANNEL PRESET« line with »
CC

DD
« and activate by
pressing » OK «.
4 Activate » CHANNEL PRESET« by pressing » OK «.
– The menu for setting stations appears on the screen. The » MANUAL
TUNING« line is highlighted.
5 Select the desired channel position, where a new satellite station is to be set,
with the »

– The menu offers the following settings for the satellite station.
PROGRAM 15 Channel number of the selected satellite
station.
FREQU. 109640.0 MHZ Station frequency of the satellite station.
POL/ANT: HOR A LOW LNB settings:
Polarisation HOR (horizontal) VER (vertical);
Satellite selection A (for example, ASTRA)
oder B (for example, Eutelsat);
LOW = lower frequency band;
HIGH = upper frequency band.
AUDIO 7.02/720 MHZ Left/right audiofrequency.
MODE STEREO Set sound type (STEREO, MONO, 50µS,
75µS, J17).
Set the sound to obtain optimal sound qua-
lity.
AUDIO BW 110 KHZ Band width setting.
Set the sound to obtain optimal sound
quality.
DECODER ON/OFF Decoder for coded satellite stations on/off.
LNB LO1 9.750 GHZ Oscillator frequency of the satellite receiver
(LNB).
CONTRAST (32) Modify picture contrast of the selected satel-
lite station. Set to obtain optimal picture
quality.
9 Enter the frequency directly with »0 … 9« or
change the frequency step-by-step with »

Select the station data you wish to modify with »

Note:
To go back to the previous menu display – without saving the modifications –
press » i INFO«.
11 Save modifications with »OK«.
– The video recorder automatically switches back to the previous menu display
and automatically selects its next channel position.
