OPERATION _______________________________

Preparation

Caution:

First time use: Run without adding coffee at least

4 times.

Please follow the steps in the “Brewing Coffee”

section from 1 – 2 and 5 – 10.

1 Remove all packaging and stickers and

dispose of them according to applicable

legal regulations.

2 Before using of the appliance for ﬁrst time,

carefully clean all parts that come into contact

with water.

(See “Cleaning and care” section).

3 Make sure that the appliance is sitting in an

upright position and on a stable, ﬂat, clean,

dry, and non-slip surface.

Brewing Coﬀee

1 Open water tank cover

and ﬁll the water

tank

minimum 4 – up to the MAX marking

on water level display

Note

Use only clean, cold, and fresh drinking water.

2 Close water tank cover

3 Open the swivel ﬁlter holder

by swinging

the ﬁlter holder handle

out to the left

4 Fill with the desired amount of ground coﬀee

up to the MAX marking of the permanent

ﬁlter

. To do this, you may use the supplied

coﬀee measuring spoon

Note

As an alternative to the permanent filter

, a

suitable paper filter (1 x 4) may also be used,

which can be inserted right into the swivel filter

holder

5 Close the swivel ﬁlter holder

6 Place the glass jug

on the warming plate

7 Connect the plug into the wall socket.

8 To turn the appliance on, select the On/Oﬀ

switch

to the “I” position.

– On/Oﬀ switch

indicator light illuminates

and the brewing process begins.

Notes

The brewing process can be stopped at any

time by selecting the On/Off switch

to the

“O” position.

The appliance is equipped with a drip-stop

located underneath the swivel filter holder

and enables you to briefly remove the glass jug

to pour coffee before the water has finished

running through the machine.

Caution

However make sure to replace the glass jug

on the warming plate

quickly (max. 30

seconds). Otherwise the brewed coffee from the

filter could overflow.

9 Remove the glass jug

from the warming

plate

, as soon as the brewing process has

ﬁnished and glass jug

is ﬁlled.

10 To turn the appliance oﬀ, select the On/Oﬀ

switch

to the “O” position.

indicator light and

appliance turns oﬀ.

11 Disconnect the appliance from the wall

socket.

Note

If you want to continue the brewing process,

repeat the procedure from 1 to 11. Let the appli-

ance cool down between each brewing process.

Hints and Tips

Use softened or filtered water to prevent lime

build-up.
