inspecting and installing an accessory, position yourself and
bystanders away from the plane of the rotating accessory and
run the power tool at maximum no-load speed for one minute.
Damaged accessories will normally break apart during this test time.
Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on
application, use face shield, safety goggles or safety glasses.
As appropriate, wear dust mask, hearing protectors, gloves
and workshop apron capable of stopping small abrasive or
workpiece fragments.
The eye protection must be capable of stopping ying debris
generated by various operations. The dust mask or respirator
must be capable of ltrating particles generated by your operation.
Prolonged exposure to high intensity noise may cause hearing loss.
Keep bystanders a safe distance away from work area. Anyone
entering the work area must wear personal protective equipment.
Fragments of workpiece or of a broken accessory may y away and
cause injury beyond immediate area of operation.
Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces only, when
performing an operation where the cutting accessory may
contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Cutting accessory contacting a “live” wire may make exposed metal
parts of the power tool “live” and shock the operator.
Position the cord clear of the spinning accessory.
If you lose control, the cord may be cut or snagged and your hand or
arm may be pulled into the spinning accessory.
Never lay the power tool down until the accessory has come to
a complete stop.
The spinning accessory may grab the surface and pull the power
tool out of your control.
Do not run the power tool while carrying it at your side.
Accidental contact with the spinning accessory could snag your
clothing, pulling the accessory into your body.
Regularly clean the power tool’s air vents.
The motor’s fan will draw the dust inside the housing and excessive
accumulation of powdered metal may cause electrical hazards.
Do not operate the power tool near ammable materials.
Sparks could ignite these materials.
Do not use accessories that require liquid coolants.
Using water or other liquid coolants may result in electrocution or
shock.
Kickback and related warnings
Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched or attaching a rotating
accessory. Pinching or hanging causes rapid stalling of the rotating
accessory which in turn forced the tool Power out of control in the
opposite direction of rotation of the accessory to the point of seizing.
For example, if an abrasive wheel is snagged or pinched by the
workpiece, the edge of the wheel that is entering into the pinch point
can dig into the surface of the material, causing jumps or expulsion
of the grinding wheel. The wheel can jump towards the operator
or by moving away, as the direction of movement of the grinding
wheel at the point of pinch. Abrasive wheels may also break under
these conditions. Kickback is the result of misuse of the tool and / or
procedures or conditions incorrect operation and can be avoided by
taking proper precautions specied below.
Maintain rmly the power tool and position your body and arm
for you allow to resist kickback forces. Always use auxiliary
handle, where applicable, for maximum control of kickback or
torque reaction during startup.
The operator can control the reaction torques or forces rebound, if
precautions are taken.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNINGS FOR WALL AND
CEILING SANDERS
This power tool is intended to function as a sander. Read all
safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specications
provided with this power tool.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric
shock, re and/or serious injury.
Operations such as grinding, wire brushing, polishing or cutting-
off are not recommended to be performed with this power tool.
Operations for which the power tool was not designed may create a
hazard and cause personal injury.
Do not use accessories which are not specically designed and
recommended by the tool manufacturer.
Just because the accessory can be attached to your power tool, it
does not assure safe operation.
The rated speed of the accessory must be at least equal to the
maximum speed marked on the power tool.
Accessories running faster than their rated speed can break and y
apart.
The outside diameter and the thickness of your accessory must
be within the capacity rating of your power tool.
Incorrectly sized accessories cannot be adequately guarded or
controlled.
The arbour size of wheels, anges, backing pads or any other
accessory must properly t the spindle of the power tool.
Accessories with arbour holes that do not match the mounting
hardware of the power tool will run out of balance, vibrate
excessively and may cause loss of control.
Do not use a damaged accessory. Before each use inspect
the accessory such as abrasive wheels for chips and cracks,
backing pad for cracks, tear or excess wear, wire brush for
loose or cracked wires. If power tool or accessory is dropped,
inspect for damage or install an undamaged accessory. After
Flexible hose
The exible hose is provided with adapters for connection to the
sander and the dust bag. The dissipation function ensures that static
electricity, which sometimes occurs during sanding, is eliminated.
ASSEMBLY
Support arm installation (g. B1+B2)
Insert the support arm (8)in the clamp.
Insert the screws to the right and left
Tighten the screws with the hex spanner.
Telescopic pipe installation (g. C1+C2)
Insert the telescopic pipe (7) into the front pipe (9).
Adjust to the desired length
Turn the locking nut (10) into the front pipe and lock.
Assembly of the dust bag (g. D)
CAUTION
Never use the sander without the dust bag. Do not use
any other dust collection container as this increases the
level of dust particles in the air of the working area.
Continued and prolonged exposure to high concentrations
of dust in the air may affect the respiratory system function.
Assembly and changing of the abrasive discs
Before assembling abrasive discs always remove the plug
from the outlet.
Before you place a new sanding disc, the sanding plate must rst be
free of dirt. The surface of the sanding disc has a lint layer on which
grinding wheels with hook&loop can be tted quickly and easily.
Grasp the abrasive belt and strap support (tighten the plate on
the bracket), to prevent rotation.
Rotate the insert retaining nut counter clockwise and remove it.
Lift the large metal washer and the abrasive pad.
When the abrasive pad is removed from the sander, the
abrasive rear disc is exposed. Please note that this rear
disc is also covered with an abrasive material. This
abrasive material is only used to prevent “slippage”
between the rear disc and the back abrasive plate foam. It
is not suitable for use as an abrasive sander. Never use
the sander without proper abrasive pad installed (to
prevent severe damage).
Position the new sanding disc on the rear disc, making sure that
the center hole in the abrasive disc is in the middle of the rear
abrasive disc.
Position the large metal washer of the retaining nut on the
sander.
Rotate the retaining nut clockwise and tighten by hand (while
holding the abrasive disc).
Tighten the metal washer clockwise with the hexagonal wrench,
while holding the sanding disc against it.
Large brush
The large brush surround the abrasive pad serves two purposes:
1. It extends below the surface of the abrasive disc so that it’s in
contact with the work surface rst. This positions the sanding
head parallel to the work surface before the abrasive comes into
contact with the working surface, preventing the abrasive from
causing scratches.
2. t also helps contain the dust until the vacuum cleaner pulls it
away.
Before changing the brush always remove the plug from
the outlet.
Never place your hand near the rotating accessory.
The accessory can perform a bounce on your hand.
Do not place you in the area where power tool will move if
kickback.
The rebound pushes the tool in the opposite direction to movement
of the wheel in point hooking.
Take special care when working corners, sharp edges etc.
Avoid twists and snaps of the accessory.
Corners, edges or sharp twists tend to hang the rotating accessory
and cause loss of control or kickback.
Additional safety instructions for sanding operations
Do not use sandpaper too oversized for sanding discs. Follow
manufacturers’ recommendations when selecting sanding paper.
More abrasive paper extending beyond the sanding pad presents
a laceration hazard and may cause a crash, tearing of the disc or
kickback.
WARNING
Touching or inhaling harmful / toxic dust is a danger for the
user and for people in the vicinity.
It is not recommended to sand lead paint. Lead paint must be
removed by a specialist only.
Do not work on materials that release hazardous substances (eg
asbestos).
Take precautionary measures if hazardous, flammable or
explosive dust can occur. Wear a protective dust mask.
If drywall or gypsum is sanded, static electricity may be
generated on the tool. To ensure your safety, the wall sander is
grounded.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Always check that the power supply corresponds to the
voltage on the rating plate.
