Cassette
The following functions for the cassette mode can only be operated with the buttons located on the appliance.
Playback of a cassette
• Switch FUNCTION
(5) to NOR TAPE. The display (6) shows (52).
• Press (20, 27) to open one of the cassette decks DECK A (32) or DECK B (18).
• Insert a cassette with the band facing upwards. Close the cassette deck (18, 32).
• Press (23, 30) to start playback.
• Press (19, 26) to pause playback.
• Press (21, 28) or (22, 29) to fast forward or rewind the cassette while in stop mode. Press (20, 27) to stop.
• Press (20, 27) to stop playback. Press (20, 27) twice to open the cassette deck (18, 32) in order to remove the cassette.
Note: If the band of an inserted cassette has reached its end, the playback automatically stops.
Continuous playback
Automatic playback of a cassette in DECK A (32) once playback of a cassette in DECK B (18) has ended.
• Insert a cassette into both DECK A (32) and B (18).
• Press (23) on DECK B (18) to start playback.
• Press (26) on DECK A (32) and then (30).
• The cassette in DECK A (32) will begin to play automatically when the playback of the cassette in DECK B (18) has ended.
Record onto cassette
This appliance is able to record from an audio CD, MP3 CD, radio, or microphone onto cassettes.
• Insert an blank cassette into DECK A (32).
• Switch FUNCTION (5) to the desired recording source.
Record from FUNCTION (5) to
CD or MP3
CD/MP3 Playback the selected tracks from an audio or MP3 CD.
( Disc functions).
Radio RADIO Tune into the radio station you want to record ( Radio).
Deck B to A NOR TAPE Insert a pre-recorded cassette into DECK B (18) ein.
Press
(26) of DECK A (32) and then (31).
Press (23) of DECK B (18); the recording will begin.
Deck B to A HIGH TAPE To record with high speed switch FUNCTION
(5) to HIGH TAPE. Proceed as above.
Mikrofon CD/MP3, RADIO, NOR TAPE Connect a microphone ( Connect a microphone).
Start to playback the respective source.
If you switch FUNCTION (5) to TAPE or CD and do not playback the inserted
cassette or disc you will only record your voice.
• Press (31) to start the record..
• Press (26) to interrupt the record.
• Press (27) to stop the record.
Note: If the band of an inserted cassette has reached its end, recording will automatically stop.
General information on recording
• Recording is permissable in so far as copyright or other rights of third parties are not infringed.
• This deck is not suitable for recording on CHROME (IEC II) or METAL (IEC IV) type cassettes. For recording,
use NORMAL (IEC I) type cassettes on which the tabs have not been broken. It is not recommended
to use cassettes with 120 minutes playtime. The best recording level is set automatically. Altering the
VOLUME will not affect the recording in progress.
• At the very beginning and end of the tape, no recording will take place during the 7 seconds, when the leader tape passes the recorder heads.
• To protect a tape from accidental erasure, have the tape in front of you and break out the left tab. Recording on this side is no longer possible.
To record over this side again, cover the tab hole with a piece of adhesive tape.
