contact with water and other liquid parts
could cause corrosion and jeopardize the
precision of the scale.
DISPOSAL PROCEDURE
(DIR. 2002/96/EC - WEEE)
The symbol on the bottom of the
device indicates the separated
collection of electric and electronic
equipment. At the end of life of the
device, do not dispose it as mixed solid
municipal waste, but dispose it referring to a
specific collection centre located in your area
or returning it to the distributor, when buying
a new device of the same type to be used with
the same functions. This procedure of
separated collection of electric and electronic
devices is carried out forecasting a European
environmental policy aiming at safeguarding,
protecting and improving environment quality,
as well as avoiding potential effects on human
health due to the presence of hazardous
substances in such equipment or to an
improper use of the same or of parts of the
same.
Caution! The wrong disposal of electric and
electronic equipment may involve sanctions.
This product is meant for domestic
use.
The conformity, certified by the CE-marking
on the device, refers to the EEC Directive
2004/108 on electromagnetic compatibility
and to the EEC Directive 2006/95 on electric
material destined to be used within given
voltage limits. This product is an electronic
device that was tested to assur

to the current technical knowledge, that it does
not inter

e with other nearby located
equipment (electr
omagnetic compatibility)
and that it is safe if used according to the
advices given in the instr
uctions for use.
In case of operation anomalies, do not keep
using the device and, if necessary, refer to the
manufacturer directly.
WARRANTY
This appliance is warranted for a period of 2
years from the date of purchase as shown by
the
dealers stamp and signature and by
the purchasers receipt for tax purposes
which must be kept attached to this
warranty. The warranty covers only any faults
in manufacturing and does not cover accidental
damage, incorrect use, negligence or misuse of
the product. Use only the accessories provided;
the use of accessories other than the approved
ones can make your warranty void. Never open
the appliance; in the event of any opening or
tampering the warranty will automatically become
invalid. The warranty does not cover either the
parts subject to wear and tear or the batteries (if
provided).
The warranty expires 2 years from the date of
purchase; after this period any technical service
shall be charged. Information regarding technical
service either under the terms of this warranty
or to be paid for can be obtained by contacting
info@laica.com. No compensation of any kind
is owed for repairs or substitutions of products
under the terms of this guarantee. In the event
of faults, go back to the retailer; DO NOT send
the appliance directly to LAICA. Use in public
places is not allowed. The manufacturer shall
not be liable for any damages to people, property
or pets, either directly or indirectly, caused by
the non compliance with the instructions laid
down in the instruction manual, in particular the
warnings regarding the installation, use and
maintenance of the appliance. It is Laica’s policy
to impr

therefore reserves the right to change its

2)Press the key [
] or [] to select within
5 seconds a memory area among the 4
available. Should none of the 4 memory
areas be selected within 5 seconds, the
scale switches off.
3)When the display shows the memory area
you are interested in (-1-…-4-), press the
“SET” key to confirm.
4)The display shows “0.0”. Get on the scale
keeping your feet parallel and your
weight homogeneously distributed
(v. disegni). Wait without moving
until the scale measures your weight.
Do not lean on anything during the
measurement to avoid modifying the
detected values.
Automatically, the scale stores the weighing
in the selected memor
y area.
5)Get off the scale, the display shows twice,
sequentially:
- the weight;
- the weight change with reference to the
previous weighing (in case of loss of
weight the weight change is indicated
with the symbol “-”; in case of weight
gain the scale displays the gained kg, for
example “2.5 kg”).
The scale switches off automatically after
few seconds.
To call up the stored weighings, repeat the
operations from step 1 to step 3.
Wait for few seconds and when the display
shows “0.0”, press the keys [
] or []. On
the display, the last selected memory area
blinks - e.g. “1-7” indicating the person “01”,
stor
ed weighing number 7: should one wish
to display another memory area (memory 1
to 7), pr
ess the keys [
] or [].

1-5 and so on). The number “-1”
cor

esponds to the last per

med weighing;
while the number “-7” indicates the oldest
values. After the first 7 memories (stored
weighings) per person, the oldest data are
cancelled automatically.
When “----” appears on the display, it
means that there are no stored data for the
selected memory area.
To delete all stored data, after having
selected the wished memory area, press
the “SET” key and simultaneously [
]. On
the screen appears the message “CRL”.
Now, the memories related to that area have
been deleted.

Clean the bottom of the scale with
