Do not use this device under a cover or un-
der a cushion. Excessive heat can cause re,
electrocution or injury.
This unit is intended only for family use. This
Lamp should not therefore be used for med-
ical treatment.
Do not use the device in a room not lit by
another light source as this may cause eye
fatigue. Use this device in addition to normal
lighting (daylight or electric light).
If you experience any pain when using this
device, stop using it immediately and consult
your doctor.
We would advise you not to look at the lamp
during your session. You may notice that your
eyes ache during the rst few sessions. That
will subsequently disappear.
Consult your doctor before starting to use
this device if:
You suer or have suered from serious
depression;
You are hypersensitive to light;
You have had an eye disorder;
You are taking certain drugs (e.g. certain
anti-depressants, psychotropic substanc-
es, malaria tablets) that might have a det-
rimental eect when using this device;
You have high blood pressure.
The exposure time depends specically on
the distance between you and this device.

structions for Use”.
PRESENTATION
Thank you for choosing the LANAFORM
Lumino LED. The Lumino LED is a device
for dispensing light exposure. It allows you
conveniently and eciently to compensate
for the lack of light. The Lumino LED is based
on the use of very clear light (approximately
, LUX) that simulates natural sunlight.
You may use the Lumino LED device while car-
rying on with other activities, such as reading,
writing, using the telephone and even when
working. The additional light produced by
the Lumino LED during the darkest times of
the year increases your exposure to light. It
may have positive eects on your mood in
general. With the Lumino LED, you can enjoy
the benets of the sun’s light, even during
the dark days of winter!

About exposure to light
Light and its intensity have an enormous
impact on our bodily processes. During the
autumn and winter, the sun’s rays diminish.
Symptoms arising from the loss of light may
therefore appear. Furthermore, conventional
articial lighting of buildings is not in itself
capable of compensating for this lack of nat-
ural light. The consequences of this situation
may lead to seasonal depression, a lack of
energy, insomnia or melancholy, symptoms
that can be grouped under the term “autumn
or winter blues.
Exposure to light consists of using light with
a strong LUX* coecient in order to simulate
the sun’s natural light.
The symptoms of SAD (Seasonal Aective
Disorder) the winter blues can be reduced,
and even disappear, through regular expo
-
sure to light with a strong LUX coecient
during a given period.
* The LUX is the unit measuring the luminance of light.
For example, a sunny summer’s day corresponds to
approximately , LUX, whereas the conventional
light intensity inside a building is only  LUX.

Installing the Lumino LED
You will nd two feet for your Lumino LED in
the packaging. Before using it, don’t forget
to screw these feet on to your device so that
it can stand upright.
1 Remove the packaging.
2 Check that all parts are in-
cluded on delivery.
3 Check the device, the power cable
and the feet are not damaged.
4 Put the power cable into the
socket (3) and switch on the light by
pressing the ON/OFF button (4).
5 It is recommended that you stand
close to the light at a distance of 20
to 50cm from the lamp, depending
on the length of time it is used.
You can read, write,
make telephone calls etc.
during the session.
6 The closer you are to the light source,
the shorter the session will need to be.
7 Exposure must be regular for a pro-
longed period. Throughout the darkest
days of the year, repeat the therapy for
at least 7 consecutive days or more,
according to individual requirements.
8 Stop the machine after use by
keeping the ON/OFF button pressed
(4) for 3 seconds and unplug it.
Adjusting the timer
1 Having pressed the ON/OFF button
(4) once, the length of time at
which it runs is set to innite.
2 If you want to programme 15 minutes
of use, press the ON/OFF button
(4) button twice. Timer’s indicator
light 15 minutes (7) lights up.
3 If you want to programme 30 minutes
of use, press the ON/OFF button (4)
button three times. Timer’s indicator
light 30 minutes (8) lights up.
4 If you want to programme 60
minutes of use, press the ON/OFF
button (4) four times. Timer’s indicator
light 60 minutes (9) lights up.
5 If you want to programme 90
minutes of use, press the ON/OFF
button (4) ve times. Timer’s indicator
light 90 minutes (10) lights up.
6 If you want to programme 120
minutes of use, press the ON/OFF
button (4) six times. Timer’s indicator
light 120 minutes (11) lights up.
If you press the press the ON/OFF
button (4) seven times, you’ll be
back at an innite operating time.
Setting the light intensity
You may select up to  levels of light intensity.
The latter is automatically adjusted to the
highest intensity.
1 To reduce the light intensity, press
the button - (6) up to 4 times
to get the lowest intensity.
