have madean excellentchoice.The high-qualityspeakers producedby MAGNATare renownedall over

the world.

Please study theinstructions and informationbelow carefully beforeusing your newloudspeakers.

The INTERIOR PRO 130 loudspeakers are widely resistant to moisture so that they may also be used

outdoorsandindamprooms. Observethefollowing points inorderto ensureperfectfunctioningover the

long-term:

• Do not exposeto direct sunlightand permanent humidity(e.g. rain) forextended periods oftime.

• Only use attemperatures ranging between–5 °C and+50 °C.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT CONNECTING YOUR MAGNAT INTERIOR PRO 130

LOUDSPEAKERS

Please always use a good quality loudspeaker connection cable from an audio dealer. To prevent

impairmentofsoundquality,werecommend cableswithcross-sectionsofatleast2.5mm² forlengthsup

to 3 mand at least4 mm²for lengths above3 m.

Always turn off the amplifier or receiver before connecting or disconnecting loudspeaker cables. Place

the loudspeakers in their planned positions and cut the cables to the right length. The cables for both

channels should alwaysbe exactly thesame length.

Strip10–15mmofinsulationfromtheendsofthecables.Twisttheends–thisismuchbetterthantinning

themwithsolder–insertthemintheterminalsandtightentheterminalscrewsfirmly(fig.1).Loudspeaker

cables with CE-compliantbanana or single-pinplugs (4 mm)or forked fittingscan also beused.

For good sound it is imperative that the cables must be connected in such a way that the speakers are

“in phase”. This means that the black negative terminals on the speakers (-) must be connected to the

negative (-) terminals on the amplifier, the red positive (+) speaker terminals to the positive (+) amplifier

terminals.To makethis easieronewire ofmost speakercables ismarkedwitha colouredstrip ora ridge

in the insulation.

Beforeswitchingonthesystemdouble-checkallyourconnectionsandmakesurethattheterminalscrews

are tight and that there are no short circuits caused by stray wire filaments – this could cause serious

damage to youramplifier!

THE MAGNAT INTERIOR PRO 130 LOUDSPEAKERS IN STEREO MODE

Intheidealconfigurationthespeakersandthelisteningpositionshouldformanequilateraltriangle.When

theleftandrightspeakersarethesamedistancefromthelisteningpositiontheirsoundarrivesatthesame

time, resulting ina harmonious, naturalmusic reproduction. (Fig.2)

There should be a clear line of sight between the loudspeakers and the listening position. Any sound-

absorbing or reflectingobstacles inthe pathwill distort thesound.

When you install the loudspeakers the following distances should be maintained: Shelf loudspeakers

shouldalsobeasfree-standingaspossible,thedistancetothesidestowallsanditemsshouldbeatleast

10 cm if possible, the tweeters should be located at ear height. If the speakers are arranged on a shelf,

there should bea minimum clearanceof 10 cmto the shelvesabove orthe ceiling.
