Always switch off the power supply before
commencing installation.
The signal repeater must always be mounted in a junction box
or distribution box at a location of the installation were a
repeated signal is useful. The signal repeater must be
protected by a 16 A automatic fuse or fuse link.
Connect the phase and neutral wire to the terminals on the
signal repeater, see Figure 1.

Programming the options
15
The SVX10 is ready for use directly after installation without
programming the module. The default setting for the SVX10 is to
repeat all letter codes. In very specific situations the SVX10 needs
to be programmed to repeat specific letter codes only. To program
the module please follow the procedure as described below.
Program procedure to repeat specific letter codes only:
Set the SVX10 in programming mode.
Send the desired letter code, including an arbitrary number
code, twice via a PMIX35, HCB, PUX, or by remote control.
The LED will flash once.
If necessary program other desired letter codes in the
same way.
Return the SVX10 to operating mode.
Procedure to reset the SVX10 into the default settings
(repeat all letter codes):
Set the SVX10 in programming mode.
Send All Lights On twice. The LED will flash seven times.
Return the SVX10 to operating mode.
If the LED flashes twice the programmed letter code has already
been programmed. If the LED flashes ten times, this means that
15 letter codes have been programmed.
Programming

Always switch on the power before programming.
Avoid the contact with life parts!
Activating programming mode
The signal repeater needs to be set into programming mode as
follows before it can be programmed:
Press the program button for at least
three seconds, see Figure 2,
the red LED is now off.
If no setting command is received
within 60 seconds the Module will
automatically exit the
programming mode.
Exit the programming mode
Briefly press the program
button once, or wait
60 seconds,
and the
programming mode
will automatically be
switched off.

(*) Marmitek X-10 modules are suitable for use in homes where the ambient temperature in

a maximum of 40°C.

Electrical equipment and systems can be sensitive to signals from
other equipment, which causes electro magnetic disturbance. In
the European Union, countries agreed upon laws for the immunity
(sensitivity) of signals of other equipment as well as equipment
emission (disturbance). When equipment or applications in a certain
surrounding comply with the valid standards, they will not disturb
each other's operations (they are called "Electro Magnetic
Compatible").
For residential surroundings, where the home automation system
Marmitek X-10 is being applied, the European standard for
immunity is standardised in EN 61000-6-1. Equipment that complies
with this standard is resistant to electro magnetic emission of other
equip ment, which complies with the European standard EN 61000-
6-3 for residential surroundings. Experience has shown that in
domestic surroundings, equipment is being used which has an
EMC-emission level that is above the levels stated in EN 61000-6-3.
This equip ment can disturb the correct functioning of the Marmitek
X-10 modules. The immunity of the Marmitek X-10 built-in modules
is therefore revaluated and equivalent to EN 61000-6-2 (the more
severe European standard for immunity in industrial surroundings).
Nevertheless, the application area for Marmitek X-10 will
remain restricted to residential areas.
