Operation by Touch Panel
The touch panel allows you to operate almost all of the functions of the unit. Each area of the touch panel functions like
operation buttons. The following functions are assigned to each area.
Display Change
Press the DISPLAY area to change the display as follows.

This manual focuses on touch panel on the main unit. For functions not controlled from the main unit, the manual

BAND/PAUSE/CH-1•2 area
BAND (Auto Preset Memory):

¡Selects a band
¡Sets the auto preset memory
(APM) mode.
PAUSE:
CD/MP3/WMA (a page 18, 19)
¡Pauses CD/MP3/WMA playing.
CH-1•2:
CD changer control (a page 22)
¡Selects a CD changer.
SOURCE area
¡Turns off the power
¡Selects a source
¡Returns to previous display in menu
setting mode.
DIRECTION area
Radio/CD/MP3/WMA/CD changer control
Toggles the key display on and off.

¡The key display is operable only in
the key display on mode.
¡If you would like to operate the key
display in the key display off mode,
press any area on the touch panel to
activate the key display for 10 sec-
onds and you can operate the key
display in the interim.
Key Display On/off
Hold down the DIRECTION area for 2 seconds or more to toggle the key display on and off.
Key Display Operation
Key operation varies with sound sources. Refer to the descriptions of each source for details.
¡Do not press the panel forcefully.
¡Do not scratch the panel by fingernails or any hard objects.
¡Do not use a pen or other sharp implements to operate the touch panel.
¡Do not drop nor bump the front panel.
a Failure to observe the above may damage or break the glass on the surface of the touch panel.

¡Enters the menu setting mode.
¡Returns to the regular mode during menu set-

OPEN
¡Opens the front panel.
TA (Traffic Announcement)/AF (Alternative frequency)
¡Changes to the TA standby mode. (a page 15)
¡Selects the AF on or off. (a page 15)

¡Releases the front
