Use product numbers indicated when asking for replacement parts. (Product

numbers correct as of November 2005. These may be subject to change.)

To save power when the unit is not to be used for a long time, unplug the AC adaptor from the household mains socket.

The batteries are drained if you leave the AC adaptor connected after recharging is complete. When finished recharging, unplug the AC

adaptor from the unit.

AC adaptor standby power consumption: (Australia and N.Z.) 0.9 W (Other areas) 0.3 W

The unit is in the standby condition when the AC adaptor is connected. The primary circuit is always “live” as long as the AC adaptor is

connected to an electrical outlet.

The battery indicator (This indicator appears when the unit is on.)

The unit switches off shortly after

the indicator starts flashing.

 Before playing starts the battery indicator level may temporarily

go down or flash although the batteries are not drained. It appears

correctly once you start play.

The unit will also work when using the AC adaptor only.

Connect the AC adaptor (

above).

Recharging takes approx. 3 to 4 hours (a maximum of approx. 6 hours).

Rechargeable batteries can be recharged approximately 300 times.

As a safety precaution this unit is constructed so it is not possible to charge ordinary batteries. For details, check with your dealer.

When recharging, use only the following Panasonic Ni-Cd

rechargeable batteries.

Europe: P-3GAVE/2B (set of 2)

Other areas: P-3GAVT/2B (set of 2)

You cannot charge any other type of rechargeable/dry cell batteries.

Notice about the rechargeable battery

The battery is designated recyclable.

Please follow your local recycling regulations.

 The configuration of the AC adaptor differs according to the area.

 The battery indicator “

” scrolls while recharging and disappears

when finished.

 You can recharge the batteries before they are fully discharged.

 Fit the battery lid so it is secure and flush with the battery

compartment. If it comes loose, it may scratch your discs.

 Remove the rechargeable batteries from the unit if they are not used

for a long time.

After disconnecting the AC adaptor, insert two “LR6, AA” alkaline

batteries.

Insert in the same way as the rechargeable batteries (

above).

the battery when removing.
