TROUBLESHOOTING

If the A2’s front panel LED does not light up:

• Make sure the AC power cord is firmly plugged into the A2’s rear

panel and into the wall outlet

• Check that power is coming from the AC outlet

• Make sure the rear panel power switch is in the ‘ON’ position

If there is no sound coming from the A2, check to see that:

• The A2 is turned on

• The volume control is turned up

• The volume level at the source is turned up

• The cable on the source is inserted all the way in at both ends and if

using a dock, that the device is correctly situated in the dock

About HUM

Adding a new component into a system, particularly a powered

component such as the A2, can introduce hum/buzz into audio playback.

Typically this is caused by a ground loop in the system. To eliminate hum,

we suggest the following:

• Use the same AC outlet for all equipment

• Turn off all power and remove all connections to source(s) and

speakers. Now plug everything back in. If hum/buzz is still audible,

use another AC outlet

• Disconnect interconnect cables. If the hum/buzz goes away then its

cause is most likely another component in the system. Add each

component back into the loop one component at a time, listening for

hum/buzz as each component is added

• If the hum or buzz persists, disconnect the coaxial cable for your cable

box, TV or DVR. If the hum/buzz disappears you know the cable was

the culprit

• Occasionally, a portable heater, humidifer, fan, dimmer switch, lamp,

or even a wireless Internet router or portable telephone can introduce

noise into your wall wiring. Use an AC line filter to remedy the

problem, plugging the unit into an alternate AC outlet. Routers and

telephones can simply be moved farther away from the speaker

DÉPANNAGE

Si la DEL du panneau avant du A2 ne s’allume pas :

• Assurez-vous que le cordon d’alimentation CA est fermement branché

dans le panneau arrière et la prise murale

• Vérifiez que l’alimentation provient de la prise CA

• Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur d’alimentation du panneau arrière est

réglé en position « On »

Si aucun son ne sort du A2, vérifiez ce qui suit :

• Que le A2 est allumé

• Que la commande de volume est activée

• Que le volume de la source est activé

• Que le câble de la source est entièrement inséré dans les deux

extrémités et si vous utilisez une station d’accueil, que l’appareil est

placé de façon appropriée sur la station d’accueil

À propos du bourdonnement (HUM)

L’ajout d’un nouveau composant, particulièrement un composant alimenté tel

qu’un amplificateur comme le A2, peut introduire un bourdonnement (hum)

lors de la lecture audio. Habituellement, cela est causé par une boucle de

mise à la terre dans le système. Pour supprimer le bourdonnement, essayez

ce qui suit :

• Utilisez la même prise CA pour tout l’équipement

• Éteignez toutes les sources d’alimentation et retirez toutes les connexions

à la ou aux sources et aux enceintes. Maintenant, rebranchez tous les

composants. Si vous entendez encore le bourdonnement, essayez une

autre prise CA pour tout l’équipement

• Débranchez les câbles d’interconnexion. Si le bourdonnement disparaît,

alors sa cause est probablement un autre composant du système. Ajoutez

chaque composant dans la boucle, une composant à la fois, en vérifiant

si le bourdonnement apparaît après l’ajout de chaque composant

• Si le bourdonnement persiste, débranchez le câble coaxial de votre

boîte à câble, de votre télévision ou de votre DVR. Si le bourdonnement

disparaît, vous savez que le câble était la cause

• À l’occasion, un radiateur électrique portatif, un humidificateur, un

ventilateur, un gradateur, une lampe ou même un routeur Internet ou un

téléphone sans fil peuvent introduire un bruit dans le câblage du mur.

Utilisez un filtre de ligne CA pour régler le problème, en branchant l’unité

dans un autre circuit CA que celui que votre équipement utilise. Les

routeurs et les téléphones peuvent simplement être éloignés de l’enceinte
