▪ Reinstall key and battery pack when you are ready to mow.
10 OPERATION
10.1 Starting/stopping the mower
▪ Raise the battery cover.
▪ Install both battery packs.
▪ Lower the battery cover.
▪ Insert the key (2) into the key hole.
▪ Press and hold the start button (1). Pull the switch levers (11) toward the handle and
release the button to start the mower.
▪ To stop the mower, release the switch levers (11).
10.2 Setting blade height
When shipped, the wheels on the mower are set to a low-cutting position. Before using the
mower for the first time, raise the cutting position to the height best suited for your lawn. The
average lawn should be between 30-40mm. to 60mm during cool months and between 50mm
and 30-40mm during hot months.
10.3 To adjust the blade height
▪ Remove key and battery pack.
▪ To raise the blade height, grasp the height adjustment lever (6) and move it toward the
front of the mower.
▪ To lower the blade height, grasp the height adjustment lever (6) and move it toward the
back of the mower.
▪ Reinstall key (2) and battery pack when you are ready to mow.
10.4 Retrofitting for mulching mower (Fig. 5)
WARNING: only with a stopped motor and standstill cutter.
▪ Raise the rear cover and remove the grass catch bag.
▪ Push the mulching wedge into the deck. Lock the mulching wedge with the button into the
opening on the deck.
▪ Lower the rear cover again.
10.4.1 What is mulching
▪ When mulching, the grass is cut in one working step, then finely chopped and returned to
the grass strip as natural fertilizer.
▪ Hints for mulch-mowing:
▪ Regular cut-back by max. 2 cm from 6 cm to 4 cm grass height.
▪ Use a sharp cutting knife
▪ Do not mow wet grass
▪ Set to max. motor speed
▪ Only move at working pace
▪ Regularly clean mulching wedge, housing inner side and mowing blade
10.5 Grass level indicator
The grass level indicator shows the volume of mowed grass
▪ When the grass basket is not full, the indicator floats during mowing.
▪ When the grass basket is full, the indicator does not float during mowing. In this case stop
mowing immediately and empty the basket. After emptying the basket, clean it so that its
meshwork vents the air.
