• Clean the grill plate with warm soapy water, afterwards, wipe it dry thoroughly.

• Before connecting the temperature regulator, make sure the grill plate and the electric connections

are totally dry. Power cord and temperature regulator must not be immersed in water or any other

liquid.

• Fit the grill plate in the housing. Take care that its feet are rmly placed in the housing and the grill

plate sits ush with the housing.

• Connect the temperature regulator entirely to the connecting socket and thereafter insert the plug

into the outlet. The appliance is ready for use.

Prior to use

Non-stick coating

The grill plate has a high-quality non-stick coating. This coating is very easy to clean and has excellent

non-stick characteristics. In order to maintain these good characteristics, observe the following notes:

• Pour some oil on a tissue in order to grease the grill plate.

• Never cut on the grill plate with a knife or a similar object.

• Do not place aluminium bowls, aluminium foil, pans, pots etc. on the grill plate.

• Do not use the grill plate for ambéing food.

• Do neither use cooking or grilling cutlery made of metal nor pointed or sharp-edged objects for

putting on, turning or removing food.

• NOTE: We recommend cooking or grilling cutlery made of heat-resistant plastic or wood.

• Do not use any abrasives, oven sprays or strong, scratching cleaning agents.

• NOTE: We recommend using the enclosed cleaning scraper for removing coarse residues; use a soft

sponge/dishwashing brush and warm water with some dishwashing detergent.

How to operate your appliance

WARNING: Hazard of injury and burns!

Surfaces, grill plate, food and accessories are getting hot during

use and rstly stay hot after switch-off!

Switching on:

• The appliance is switched on by turning the temperature regulator.

• The pilot lamp glows until the set temperature is reached. The alternately lighting up and going out of

the lamp during the operation shows the thermostatic regulation of the temperature.

• NOTE: Thus, it does not mean that the appliance is switched off if the lamp is off!

• Pre-heat the grill plate for ca. 5 minutes with highest setting before starting grilling with the desired

temperature level.

Settings:

The pilot lamp serves as a marker for the selected setting. The setting can be adjusted any time during

grilling:

Level 2 - 4 low keep-warm setting

Level 5 - 9 medium for gradual simmering of delicate foods (e. g. sh)

in order for foods to tenderise and cook thoroughly

for using the steamer cup

Level 10 - 12 high for cooking most foods

for searing, for sealing and browning quickly

Both grilling time and temperature setting depend very heavily on the thickness of the individual foods to

be cooked and, above all, on your individual taste. Therefore, please regard the above data as a kind of

reference point only!
