Das Gehäuse können Sie mit einem feuchten Lappen und Spülmittel säubern, verwenden Sie jedoch
kein Scheuermittel und keine Stahlwolle. Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht ins Wasser und achten Sie
darauf, dass kein Dampf oder Wasser eindringen kann. Das Gerät darf nicht mit einem
Dampfstrahlgerät behandelt werden.
Abdeckung
Die Typen THS 2591 und THS 3091 sind serienmäßig mit einer Abdeckung ausgestattet. Schließen
Sie diese erst, wenn die Heizplatten vollständig abgekühlt sind. Die Typen THS 2015 und THS 2590
können mit einer Abdeckung nachgerüstet werden, wenden Sie sich bei Bedarf bitte an Ihren
Händler oder an unseren Werkskundendienst.

To make sure that you will have lots of pleasure with your new cooking plate, we ask you to care-
fully observe the following notes and to keep this instruction manual for future reference.
Prior To Usage
In order to avoid possible risk of fire, the appliance must always be put up in a way ensuring the
distance between the unit and any wall is at least 10 cm. Keep the space above the appliance free
to ensure unhindered air circulation. Put the appliance on a heat-resistant base (no varnished
tables, no table cloths). Do not operate the appliance in the proximity of other hot appliances
(stove, gas flames).
Initial Use
Make sure that the mains voltage is identical with the details on the rating plate. Only connect unit
to an AC outlet. Then heat the appliance without a pot for approximately 5 minutes at maximum
temperature. This will give perfect protection to the coating on the plates. Please do not bother
about the slight temporary formation of smoke.
For Your Safety
The appliance will become hot during usage. For this reason please pay attention to the possible
risk of burns when touching it.
The power supply cord - like those of other neighbouring electrical appliances - must not touch any
hot parts of the appliance.
Children and persons with handicaps of physical, sensorial or mental nature must not operate this
appliance without an adequate supervision and/or corresponding expert advice and safety instruc-
tions.
Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with this appliance.
Do not at all operate this unit with an external timer or a separate telecontrol system.
Fats and oils can overheat and may catch fire. Therefore be particularly careful when preparing dishes
containing fats and oils.
Never leave the appliance unattended when operating it. The safest way to switch off the unit is to
unplug it.
Our electrical appliances comply with the relevant safety regulations. If the appliance or the cable
is damaged, immediately unplug the appliance. Repairs may be effected by specialists only!
Inappropriate repairs may result in considerable danger for the user. Do not use the appliance as a
space heater. Inappropriate use or disregard of the instruction manual will lead to loss of guarantee.
Directions For Use
Only use pots and pans suitable for electric stoves and with an appropriate diameter. If the bottom of
the pot is uneven or too small, energy will be wasted and the maximum heat cannot be used.
The temperature is power-controlled through a 7-step switch. Depending on the chosen setting, the
plate heats up with the corresponding power and maintains this temperature. According to your wishes,
your dishes can be kept warm, heated up, steamed, or - at maximum level - brought to the boil, brow-
ned and cooked thoroughly. The pilot lamp stays on as long as the heating plate is switched on.
