PREPARATION

1. Sit the motor unit on a stable, level surface.

2. Align the d on the bottom of the jug with the U on the motor unit (g. A).

3. Lower the jug on to the motor unit, then turn the jug to align the d with the L (g. B). Your blender

will not operate unless the jug is correctly tted and locked.

4. Remove the lid.

5. Put the ingredients into the jug. Don’t ll past the 1500 ml mark. If you do, the contents may force the

lid o when you start the motor.

6. Replace the lid. Don’t operate the appliance without tting the lid.

7. Put the plug into the power socket.

8. Press the C button. The button will light up indicating that your blender is ready to start.

9. Press the desired function button according to the table below.

Button Function

Stop/standby.

1, 2, 3 Selects speed 1, 2 or 3. Speed 1 is the slowest, speed 3 is the fastest.

Ice crush/Pulse - for crushing ice or ne blending control.

Smoothie - blend frozen fruits and other ingredients into thick smoothies

Icy drink - liquefy frozen drinks.

Soup - use for making soups.

10. The Smoothie, Icy drink and Soup functions will run for a pre-set time and then stop automatically.

The speed of the motor may change, and the motor may stop briey from time to time while the

function is running. This optimises blending for the selected function.

11. You can change functions during processing by pressing the desired function button.

12. To stop the motor or function at any time, press the C button.

• Generally, large quantities, thick mixes, and a high ratio of solids to liquids require longer timings and

slower speeds.

• Smaller quantities, thinner mixes, and more liquids than solids require shorter timings and higher

speeds.

• To add ingredients while the blender is working, remove the cap, pour the new ingredients through

the hole, then replace the cap.

• Check that the added ingredients don’t increase the volume in the jug past the 1500ml mark.

WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED:

1. Switch o (C), and wait till the blades come to a stop before removing the lid from the jug, or

removing the jug from the motor unit.

2. Turn the jug to align the d with the U to unlock it, and lift it o the motor unit.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1. Switch the appliance o (C) and unplug it.

2. Wipe the outside of the motor unit with a clean damp cloth.

3. Hand wash the removable parts.

¬ You may wash these parts in the top rack of a dishwasher.

` You may wash these parts in the dishwasher.

If you use a dishwasher, the harsh environment inside the dishwasher will aect the surface nishes. The

damage should be cosmetic only, and should not aect the operation of the appliance.
