Use the UP/DOWN button to select PLAYER
MENU.

Use the UP/DOWN button to select ‘ENG-
LISH’.

- ENGLISH is selected and the screen returns to MAIN
MENU.
- To make the MAIN MENU disappear, press the RETURN
button.

Setting Up the Rating Limit
The Parental Level function works in conjunction with DVDs that have been assigned a rating - which helps you
control the types of DVDs that your can family watches. There are up to 8 rating limits on a disc.

and enter your 4-digit

- The disc which contains LEVEL 7 or
LEVEL 8 will not play now.

- The default password is ‘7777’

Enter the new password.
- After entering the new password, re-
enter it one more times to make sure
the password works.
- This function only works with DVDs
that have been assigned a rating limit
by the publisher and, therefore, it is
disc-dependent.

NOTE
What if a DVD's rating
exceeds the player's rating
limit?
The player alerts you when you
try to play a DVD with a rating
that exceeds the level you've set.
The message, "Your selection
exceeds the rating limit for this
player." appears on screen.
Some discs are authored with a
rating override feature included.
When you play a disc with this
feature, the message, “Your
selection exceeds the rating limit
for this player. Override the
limit?” is displayed. Select
“Override” or “Cancel.” If you
choose to override the rating
limit, you will need to enter your
4-digit password to begin play-
back.
