Operating Instructions
Please read and observe the following information and
keep the operating manual nearby for future reference!
Safety information
Risk of explosion!
Only use the power adapter plugs supplied!
Only use batteries supplied or ones of the same type!
Always treat batteries with due care and attention and only
use batteries as described.
Never use standard and rechargeable batteries together.
Never use rechargeable batteries or standard batteries with
different capacities or charge statuses together. Never use
standard or rechargeable batteries which are damaged.
Risk of suffocation through small objects, packaging and
protective foil!
Keep children away from the product and its packaging!
Risks to health and the environment from batteries!
Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to
pollute the environment. They could contain toxic and
ecologically harmful heavy metals.
Risk of hearing damage!
Avoid listening at full receiver volume.
Risk of property damage.
Prevent exposure to environmental influences, e.g. smoke,
dust, vibration, chemicals, moisture, heat and direct sunlight.
Only allow repairs to be completed by qualified personnel.
Contact your telephone network provider with regard to
enabling supplementary services.
INTENDED USE
The telephone is suitable for telephoning within a public
telephone network system. Any other use is considered
unintended use. Observe all local directives and regulations.
Unauthorised modification or reconstruction is not permitted.
Under no circumstances open the device or complete any repair
work yourself.

CONNECTION
1. Connect the curly cord to the handset and to the socket
marked on the top side of the telephone.
2. Connect the mains adapter to the socket marked
DC9V/300mA on the bottom of the telephone and then to an
electrical wall socket.
3. Connect the telephone line cord of telephone on the underside
of the telephone, and then to a network wall socket.
4. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
5. Mount the included desk stand for better angle of display and
phone.
Batteries
4x AA alkaline batteries are needed for the display operation (no
back light). In the event of a power cut, extra amplification (boost)
and speakerphone will not work.
When is displayed, replace all 4
batteries. Use only good quality
batteries.
1. Unplug the telephone cord and
remove the battery cover.
2. Insert the batteries (4 x AA)
ensuring that the correct battery
polarity is observed.
3. Replace the battery cover and
connect the telephone cord.
Disconnect the telephone line
cord before installing or replacing the batteries
2x CR1220/3V batteries are needed for the remote emergency
call unit.
BASIC SETTINGS
Setting the STORE NUMBER
(Please see USING THE PHONE BOOK for instruction)
Setting NAME RECORDING
(Please see USING THE PHONE BOOK for instruction)
Setting the LANGUAGE
Press , press button until the display shows
LANGUAGE. Press OK, Press button to select the
desired language, then press OK to confirm.
Setting the RING MELODY
Press , press button until the display shows RING
MEL. Press OK. The phone has 3 x melodies available for user
to select. Press button to select the desired ring melody,
press OK to confirm. During setting the melody sound will be
played. Default is 1.
Setting the RING VOLUME
Press , press button until the display shows RING
VOL. Pres s OK, Press button to select the desired
setting (5 x volumes) and press OK to confirm. To adjust the
speaker volume (hands free), use during a call.
Setting the BOOST LOCK
Press , press button until the display shows BOOST
LOCK. Press OK, Press button to confirm. Default is
OFF.
Setting the REMOTE PENDANT
The telephone comes equipped with one emergency pendant
which is already paired with the unit.
New Pendants need to be paired to the telephone:
1. Press , press button until the display shows
PENDANT.
2. Press OK button,
3. Select PAIRING or DELETE? by pressing the or
button and confirm with OK button,
If you select PAIRING the display will show “PAIRING……..” for
3 seconds. To start pairing, press and hold pendent key for 1
second until you see “OK on the display. You can repeat above
procedure to pair up to 5 devices. If no pendant was successfully
paired, you will see “ERROR” on the display, please repeat
above procedure.
Delete Devices: If you select “DELETE?”, the unit will delete all
the paired devices. After deletion you will need to pair ALL
PENDANTS, including the main pendant. Press to exit the
set-up mode.
Setting the LCD CONTRAST
Press , press button until the display shows
CONTRAST. Press OK, Press button to select the
desired contrast and press OK to confirm.
Setting the TIME/DATE
1. Press , press button until the display shows
TIME/DATE. Press OK.
2. To set the hour (00-23), press button to set the correct
hour. Press OK to save and the cursor will move to the minute.
3. To set the minute, press button to set the correct
minute. Press OK to save and the cursor will move to the day.
4. To set the day, press button to set the correct day.
Press OK to save and the cursor will move to the month.
5. To set the month, press button to set the correct
month. Press OK to save.
Setting NEW CALL LED ON/OFF
Press , press button until the display shows CALL
LED, Press OK, press button to select ON or OFF, and
confirm with OK.
Setting KEYTONE ON/OFF
Press , press button until the display shows KEY
TONE, Press OK, press button to select ON or OFF, and confirm
with OK.
Setting TONE/PULSE
Press , press button until the display shows TON
E/PULSE, Press OK, press button to select TONE or
PULSE and confirm with OK.
Setting Voice ON/OFF
Press , press button until the display shows VOICE,
Press OK, press button to select ON or OFF, and confirm
with OK. When you select ON, a recorded voice is played with
key presses and alert messages.
Setting the FLASH TIME
Press , press button until the display shows FLASH,
Press OK, press button to select the flash time
(100/300/600 ms) and confirm with OK. The standard setting is
100 for most countries, 300 for France/Portugal.
Setting ALARM ON/OFF
The alarm call function will call a stored number and play a
recorded emergency message when you select one of the phone
book memory with Emergency ON or the alarm button on the
cordless remote. See also Alarm call.
Press , press button until the display shows ALARM
FUNC. Press OK , press button to select ON or OFF and
confirm with OK.
QUIET OFF
In quiet alarm mode on, no voice or tone signal is heard when
the alarm call is made (see above). See also Alarm call.
Press , press button until the display shows QUIET
AL. Press OK, press button to select alarm mode to quiet (ON)
or normal (OFF) and confirm with OK.
Emergency
1. Press , press button until the display shows AL.
ANNOUNC.
2. Press OK to play the recorded emergency message.
3. Press and hold OK to record a new emergency message (max.
30 seconds). Start recording at the tone, and release OK when
finished. The recorded message will be played automatically.
Ring Light
To alert you to incoming calls, a flashing light can be activated
when the phone is ringing. Select ON/OFF and confirm with OK
button.
Pause
Press , select PAUSE time (1~9 sec.) using (default is
3). Press OK .
Access Number
Press , select ACCESS NO., press OK .Use to enter
the access number. Press OK.
MAKING A CALL
Normal Dialing
1. Lift the handset.
2. Dial the desired telephone number.
Pre-Dialing
This allows you to enter and change a telephone number before
it is dialed.
Please note! Press , press button to select the
desired telephone number, if in phone book mode , pressing the
number buttons will quick-search the phone book entries.
1. Enter the required telephone number. Mistakes can be erased
by pressing .
2. You can now either lift the handset or press button, the
displayed telephone number will now be dialed.
Answering a call
Lift the handset to answer an incoming call, or press to
answer using the speakerphone. You can also answer by
pressing the button on the cordless remote.
Redial function
1. If the number dialed is engaged or you wish to redial the last
number called, press , press button to select the
phone number
2. Lift the handset or press to dial.
Please note! During a conversation, you can switch from the
handset to hands free mode at any time by pressing . Press
again to terminate the call.
Hands free function
1. Press . The Hands free speaker will be activated and the
Hands free indicator will illuminate.
2. Dial the required telephone number. The speaker volume can
be adjusted during a call using
3. Speak towards the microphone located on the front edge of
the telephone.
4. Press to terminate the call.
Please note!
During a conversation, you can switch from the handset to hands
free mode at any time by pressing . Press again to
terminate the call.
Please remember that in Hands free mode it is only possible for
one person at a time to talk. The switch between speaker and
microphone is automatic and dependent on the sound level of
the incoming call and the microphone respectively. It is therefore
essential that there are no loud noises, e.g. music, in the
immediate vicinity of the telephone, as this will disrupt the
speaker function.
Timer
Immediately after dialing a telephone number a call timer will be
shown on the display. The timer is a simple way to help you keep
track of how long the call lasts.
Volume control
The handset earpiece volume may be adjusted during a call
using button . To adjust the speaker volume (hands
free), use during a call.
Increasing the receiver volume to +40 dB
The receiver volume can be increased to +40 dB by pressing the
+40dB button.
Tone control
You can adjust the tone produced in the receiver using a slide
control on the base. Note: The tone control only works when the
40 dB amplification is activated
Recall
Press the recall button R followed by the extension number to
transfer calls when connected to a PBX (TBR only).
Access to additional network services can be gained by using the
recall button R, * and # buttons. Contact your network operator
for more information.
Using the Phone Book
The phone book will store 99 telephone numbers (22 digits max)
and their associated names (10 characters max) with entries
arranged alphabetically. A stored phone number can be dialed
using fewer keystrokes than if dialed manually. If you subscribe
to a Caller ID service, the name/number of the caller will be
shown when you receive an incoming call.

Each number button has been allocated certain characters.
