SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Under no circumstances should you immerse the scales in
water or other liquids.
Do not attempt to weight more than 2 kilos. Do not place any-
thing on the scales except what you want to weigh.
Do not use caustic or scouring cleaners. Clean the scales
using a moist towel.
BATTERIES
Caution: Batteries are extremely dangerous when swallowed.
Therefore keep the scales and battery out of the reach of
small children. If a battery has been swallowed, seek medical
help immediately.
Replacing the battery
If the battery is drained, appears briefly in the LCD dis-
play after the scales are turned on.
Replace the drained battery.
Always remove the drained battery from the scales immedia-
tely. Follow the instructions in the “Before use” section.
Always use a cloth when you change the battery.
Disposing of batteries
Batteries need to be properly disposed of. For this
purpose all shops selling batteries provide battery
collection boxes on their premises. Used batteries
can also be disposed of at public waste collection
facilities.
The battery supplied must not be charged, re-activated by any
other means, dismantled, exposed to an open flame, or short-
circuited.

Your new kitchen scales have a tare weighing function (TARE)
allowing you to measure more than one ingredient
in the same mixing bowl.
The scales display the weight in gram-by-gram increments up
to a total weight of 2 kilograms. Instead of metric units (gram),
the scales can also weigh in ounces and pounds
((llbb´´oozz))
.
