Troubleshooting (VCR)
• “Power On” does not work.
• Doesn’t work when Power is on.
• A videotape can not be inserted.
• On inserting a videotape, the tape
is re-ejected.
• A videotape will not eject.
• Tuner on video and playback does
not appear.
• Noise (screen noise) appears on
screen.
• Noise appears on screen after
recording.
• While in playback, noise appears.
• Sound and picture are irregular.
• Sound comes out but picture does
not appear.
• Picture is irregular and stripes
appear.
• "Screen Error" message is displayed
on screen.
• While recording and playing,
waves appear on top of screen.
• Screen is not clear.
• A screen in PAUSE is trembling or
slow screen is not clear.

➤ Check whether the power plug is inserted in an electric outlet.
➤ Check whether a videotape is inserted.
➤ Try to insert the plug again.
➤ Check whether the power plug is inserted in an electric outlet.
➤ Check whether the videotape is in.
➤ Check whether a videotape is inserted in the right direction (a side of
transparent window should be on the upside)
➤ Try it again after fully ejecting it.
➤ This is a safe mode to protect a videotape when not inserted
correctly. Please pull out the tape and insert it again.
➤ If the product is used for a long time, a videotape may not be ejected
due to the film inside being stretched. In this case, please pull out the
power plug for about 10mins and then press EJECT button.
➤ Please check your antenna’s connection.
➤ TV channel should be fixed on video channel.
➤
Check your antenna’s signal whether it may be weak. In case of
weakness, please use a frequency amplifier connected with the device.

Press TV/VCR and check VCR is displayed in the display panel.
➤ While not using VCR, was it turned on?
➤ While recording a program, did you watch another channel?
➤ Select TV by pressing TV/VCR button on remote control.
➤ While playing a videotape, there may be some noise at the beginning
of a videotape or resuming after PAUSE. This is normal.
➤ Press TRACKING for better reception. Videotape may be poor. Try
to change it to another one.
➤ Please use a head cleaner to clean the VCR heads. VCR heads may
be contaminated - try using a head cleaner.
➤ Since VCR signals are not stable like TV signals, screen may be
unstable or curved while playing. To fix the problem, adjust the
horizontal hold.
➤ In case videotape has been recorded using other products or an old
product, lines may appear on the screen.
➤ Try to adjust the screen by TRACKING+/- buttons

➤ For recording, you should use videotape with a tab.
➤ Check whether a channel is fixed on video. If not, you have to switch
to TV by pressing INPUT button.
➤ Check whether the timer recording infomation is correct.
➤ Are RF cables connected to antenna terminals correctly?
➤ Does the CHANNEL number selected in the display section?
➤ Check that the videotape has a tab or whether the tab is broken. (if it is
broken, try scotch-taping it)
➤ Check whether the screen is displayed in VCR only channel. Press
INPUT button on the remote control to adjust in "General Broadcast"
condition.
➤ Check whether the clock is set correctly.

➤ Check that the tab on the videotape is not broken. (if it is, try to scotch-
tape it)
➤ Battery may be weak or flat.
➤ Try changing the angle, degree or distance.
➤ Make sure there are no obstructions between video and remote
control.
➤ Are you playing a tape that was not recorded on this VCR?
➤ You may be recording it in REC-PAUSE. Start recording from STOP
mode.
➤ Please CABLE not NETWORK from the CHANNEL SETTING.
