First-time use of the Standard Digitalisierungsbox
For the configuration of the device, the following system requirements must be met:
 Operating system Microsoft Windows XP SP3 or later; Windows XP SP3 requires the following
hotfix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953761
 Internet Explorer version 7 or 9 or later (the security settings may need to be adjusted),
Mozilla Firefox version 4 or later, Chrome
 Installed network card (Ethernet)
 Installed TCP/IP protocol
 PC configured to automatically obtain IP address and DNS server
 High colour display (more than 256 colours) to show graphics accurately

The switches for terminating the ISDN interfaces can be found on the bottom / in thelower
housing. Both switches are set to ON ex works. This means that termination is enabled and
the device is preconfigured for the operation of all common applications.
Please read the user guide before connecting the device or starting it up!

Reset
Due to the position of the devices in a rack it is recommended to use remote antenna. Attach
the mounting brackets to the device using the supplied screws.
The mounting brackets and screws are available as an accessory (Part No. MN40285514).
During operation in a rack the ambient temperature must not exceed 40° C.

The LEDs are linked to those on the top of the
device and show the identical behavior.
The reset is performed by using the reset button at the terminal area.
The device is rebooted by quickly pressing the key (ca. one second). Pressing the key is equivalent
to an interruption of the power supply. Saved data are preserved, but all connections are interrupted.
If you press the reset key for approx. 30 seconds, the device performs a factory reset. This means
the device is returned to its ex works state. Connection data for incoming and outgoing phone calls
are preserved. The configuration is deleted and all passwords are reset.
The reset has finished once the status LED flashes continuously again after approx. 30 seconds.
The device is delivered with the system software version which is current at the time of
production. The system software is continually being upgraded to improve the security and
functionality of the device. When you first start the device, you may be prompted to update the
software. If you have access to Telekom's automatic configuration, the system software for
your device will automatically be updated to the latest version.
Alternatively, you can update the software in the User view. To use this option to update the
device, you require a functioning Internet connection.
Under Firmware Update, click Update to start the process.
Do not interrupt either the power supply or the internet connection.
Whenever new system software has been installed, you need to restart the device.
Should an error occur during the update process, do not restart the device and contact
customer service.
Automatic configuration is a service for Telekom customers that you can use with your
Digitalisierungsbox.
Connect the Digitalisierungsbox to the mains. Connect the cables to the appropriate sockets/
jacks. Wait until the Service LED goes out.
Start an Internet browser, enter telekom.de in the address bar and confirm with the Return key.
You are redirected to the Telekom autoconfiguration page. Enter your access ID and your
password and click on Start Configuration. During automatic configuration, the Service LED will
light up.
Wait until a confirmation is displayed that the configuration has been successful. The Service
LED is no longer lit now.
If the Telekom webpage does not open, first check all cabling.

normal business hours for any further advice on your Digit
alisierungsbox.
