GENERALDESCRIPTION

The

STINGRAY

II is a waterproof

WFÆR/VLF

discriminator,

which

provides

three

basic operating modes. It

can be

used as an ALL

METAL

detector, as

discriminator,

or as a Motion

based discrimi

nator. It is

capable

ofprovidingMineral

Free operation in

anyørvironment,

ifadjustedconectly.

The

STINGRAY II

can be used

on land, in the

surf, or underwater

depths of

200 feet.

It is

perhaps

the most

versati le

of al

waterproof metal

detectors

yetmade.

The detector is

supplied in

standard land

based

metal

detector

form,

but

equipped with

a belt bracket for

body mounting.

It can

be used

pole

mounted

unit,

or with the belt

bracket, as a belt mounted

unit.

Further,

a shorterdivers

pole

optional, which

compresses

the detector

to useable lengths

forthe

diving TH'er.

The

STINGRAY II is

equipped

with awaterproofcoil

connector,

thatoptional coils

can beutilized on

the detector.

Aswith

anydetector,

coil mounting

screw

through

coil and

pole

tip

shown.

Install

the

thumbnut

on the

screw

and tighten

ha¡rd.

Wind

the

coil cable

a¡ound

the

pole

shown.

5. Install

the

coil

connector

into

its receptacle

the back

ofthe

contol

housing

and

tighten

it finger

tight.

NOTE:

not

use

pliers

to tiqhten

the

coil

connector.
