1912 Midland Metal Spinners was founded by
George Cadman, who was then 65 years old, as
a metal holloware manufacturing company, in St.
Mark’s Street, Wolverhampton. They later moved
into the Tower and Fort Works in Pelham Street,
which ultimately gave rise to the famous Tower
    brand name.

1961 Tower became one of the largest
    manufacturers of aluminium holloware, electric
kettles, tea pots and other household articles with
    over 1,000 employees.
1974 Russell Hobbs took ownership of the
    expanding Tower brand.

1937 Tower exhibited some of their latest holloware
designs at the British Industries Fair. As you can
see from the original poster, their stand No. A410
must have been a great sight as it promoted their
    “Beautiful, inexpensive, untarnishable Plate, at
prices all can afford to pay”.

    Easy Mixing
Mixing need not be tiring any longer thanks to the
powerful and manoeuvrable 300W Stainless Steel
Hand Mixer from Tower Featuring 6 dedicated
speeds and durable stainless steel beaters, this
appliance is as practical as it is versatile. A stainless
steel shaft/blade and interchangeable heads mean
it can take on anything, and dishwasher safe parts
help keep cleaning to a minimum.

    3 USING YOUR APPLIANCE
    1.

Before assembling the mixer, ensure the
power cord is unplugged from the power
outlet and the speed selector is in the OFF
    position.

    2.

Assemble beaters or dough hooks into
    mixer.

    3.

Ensure that the unit is at the 0 setting, then
    plug in the power source.

    4.

There are 6 settings. Turn the speed
selector to your desired setting and the
appliance will start working. If the Turbo
button is pushed the speed will increase by
    20%.

Make sure the hand mixer is unplugged and
the speed selector is set to 0 for removal.
To remove the beaters and dough hooks
from your hand mixer, hold the beaters/
dough hooks with one hand and press the
Ejector button firmly down with the other
    hand and pull.

    Max Quantities:
The below table lists the recommended
maximum quantities for use, we recommended
that the max quantities are not exceeded.
Quantities are based on mixing in a large bowl.

Warning: Do not place any objects such as
    cutlery into the bowl.
    5.

The max operation time per time shall not
exceed 5 minutes. When kneading yeast
dough, we suggest that the speed selector
should be at low speed firstly and then use
high speed to achieve the best results.

    6.

When mixing is completed, turn the speed
selector to 0 position then unplug the cord
    from the power outlet.

    7.

If necessary you can scrape the excess
food particles from the beaters or dough
hooks with a rubber or wooden spatula.

    Fitting and Removing the Beaters:

Make sure the hand mixer is unplugged and
the speed selector is set to 0.

Insert the beaters one at a time. Put one
beater into a slot, pushing it firmly until it
    locks into place.

Insert the other beater into the other slot,
pushing firmly until it locks into place.

The hand mixer is now ready for use.

    Tips:

    Allow refrigerated ingredients, such as
butter and eggs, to reach room temperature
before mixing in order for them to combine
    more thoroughly.
To avoid the possibility of shell in the
mixture, break eggs into a separate
container before adding to the mix.

For best result use heavy cold cream,
straight from the refrigerator for making
    whipped cream.

Do not over-beat. Be careful that you only
    mix/blend mixtures until recommended in
your recipe. Fold into dry ingredients only
    until just combined.

When whipping egg whites, plastic mixing
bowls are not recommended. For best
results, the mixing bowl and beaters must
be completely clean and free from any fat

or oil. Traces of fat or oil on the attachments
or bowl will prevent the egg whites from
    increasing in volume during mixing.

Changes in temperature and the texture
and temperature of the ingredient will affect
the required mixing time and end results.

Always start mixing at lower speed.
    Gradually increase to the recommended
speed as stated in the recipe.
