IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read through all the instructions before starting to use the air

cleaner. Keep this user manual in a safe place for future reference.

1. Before using this appliance, read through all the instructions

and only use accordingly.

2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including

children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabili-

ties, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have

been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the

appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children

should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the

appliance.

3. If the supply cord is damaged, the manufacturer, their service

agent or a similarly qualified person should replace it to avoid

a hazard.

4. This appliance requires regular cleaning. Refer to the

CLEANING instructions provided.

5. Do not expose the air purifier to rain, or use near water, in a

bathroom, laundry area or other damp location.

6. The air purifier must be used in an upright position.

7. Do not allow foreign objects to enter air inlet or outlet grilles as

this may cause electric shock or damage to the air purifier.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Follow the instructions on page 5 under filter cleaning / replacing

instructions.

Remove the HEPA filter from inside the unit, remove all the

packaging material around the filter and return the filter to the

unit.

Place the unit on a flat level surface and position 1 metre from

walls or furniture. Plug the unit in and turn the switch to the

desired position.

If the unit is placed on light coloured carpeting, a small mat

or rug should be used to prevent any permanent staining of

carpeting. This is particularly important in homes with heavier

contamination from smoking or fireplaces.

IONIZER FEATURE

The ionizer helps boost the performance of the air purifier and

helps to freshen the air.

Turn the ionizer switch on and the ionizer control light comes on.

As soon as you turn this feature off the ionizer control light will

turn off.

FILTER CLEANING / REPLACING INSTRUCTIONS

The filter system, which consists of pre-filter, active carbon filter

and HEPA filter, filters particles of dirt such as dust, smells and

gases out of the air. The filter cassette is effective for a period of

6 months.

This air cleaner has an electronic filter change indicator, which

reminds you when it is time to change the filter cassette. This

point in time is calculated on the basis of the running hours.

The LED filter change indicator is then continuously lit up red.

HEPA & active carbon filter

Remove the filter from the unit (fig. 3), place on a flat surface &

clean with a vacuum cleaner nozzle (fig. 4). Repeat on both sides.

Pre-filter

The pre-filter can be rinsed by hand under warm water (fig. 5).

Let the pre-filter dry completely before inserting it back into the

unit (fig. 6).

As soon as you have mounted a new filter cassette you should

reset the filter change indicator. Switch the air cleaner on, push

the tip of a ball-point pen or paperclip into the opening of the

filter change indicator and press it for 5 seconds until the red

control lamp goes off (fig. 10). If you mount a new filter cassette

before the control lamp lights up red, you should also reset the

filter change indicator.

Please note: The filter cassette is not washable.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

We recommend that you clean the air purifier at least once a

month and before extended storage. Use only a dry cloth to wipe

the external surfaces of the air purifier. DO NOT USE WATER, WAX

POLISH, OR ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION.

If you store your Air Purifier for more than 30 days, we recommend:

• Removing both the HEPA filter and the pre-filter from the unit.

• Discard the pre-filter.

• Wrap the HEPA filter in an air-tight plastic bag or plastic wrap.

Be sure that the filter is totally sealed.

CONDITION OF PURCHASE

As condition of purchase the purchaser assumes responsibility for

the correct use and care of this Kaz product according to these

user instructions. The purchaser or user must himself or herself

decide when and for how long the Kaz product is in use.

WARNING

If problems arise with this Kaz product, please observe the

instructions in the guarantee conditions. Do not attempt to repair

the Kaz product yourself, as this could lead to termination of the

guarantee and cause damage to persons and property.

DISPOSAL

This symbol on the product or its packaging

indicates that the appliance cannot be treated

as normal domestic waste but must be handed

in at a collection point for recycling electric and

electronic appliances.

Further information about the recycling of this product can be

obtained from your local town hall, your refuse collection service,

or in the store at which you bought the product. This regulation is

valid only in EU member states.
