Explanation of Symbols and Signal Words

Danger sign: This symbol indicates risk of physical

injury. Read the associated safety instructions carefully,

and comply with them.

Circuit symbol for direct current

WARNING warns of possible serious injuries and danger to life

CAUTION warns of slight to moderate injuries

Important Instructions

CAUTION – Danger of Injury!

■ The product is not a toy. Do not leave children and animals

unsupervised with the product, in order to avoid injuries!

■ Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! If a battery leaks, avoid

physical contact with the battery acid. Wear protective gloves

if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected area

with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as

soon as possible.

■ The solar light is designed to decorate outdoor areas. The stor-

age battery charge during the daytime via the solar cell ﬁ eld.

The accumulated energy allows the LEDs to illuminate at night.

■ The product is designed for personal domestic use only and

are not intended for commercial applications.

■ The product should only be used as described in these instruc-

tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

■ Protect the product from naked ﬂ ames and impact.

■ Never immerse the product in water or other liquids. It is only

resistant to splashing.

■ During extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or if the

product will not be used for a long time, switch it off and store

it in a dry place.

■ Do not disassemble the product (except for removing the stor-

age battery prior to disposal of the solar unit)! Have any repairs

done only by a specialist workshop or the customer service

department. The LEDs cannot be replaced.

■ Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in

ﬁ re, immersed in liquids or short circuited.

■ Keep the solar ﬁ eld clean so that the greatest possible ab-

sorption of light is ensured. Wipe down the solar ﬁ eld (and if

necessary also the remaining components of the article) with

a damp cloth. Do not use any corrosive or abrasive clean-

ing agents to clean the product! They could damage the

surfaces.

Check the items supplied for completeness and transport dam-

age. If you ﬁ nd any damage, do not use the articles (!), but rather

contact the customer service department.

Remove any protective ﬁ lm (e.g., from solar panel) and labels. Ne-

ver remove the rating plate!

Switching on and off

1. Unscrew the LED cover.

2. Slide the On / Off switch to the ON position to activate the solar

unit.

The battery can now charge up in daylight. When darkness

sets in, the LEDs automatically switch on. When it gets light,

the LEDs switch off and the battery is charged up via the solar

ﬁ eld.

3. When the solar light is not being used switch it off by sliding the

On / Off switch to the OFF position.

PLEASE NOTE: Battery power can be severely impacted by ext-

remely low temperatures.

Set-up

The solar lamp should not be placed near to other light sources

such as street lamps or other lamps, so that the LEDs can be

switched on automatically.

Position the solar light so that the solar ﬁ eld is able to absorb di-

rect sunlight the whole day preferably.

Either use the bracket to hang the solar light in an appropriate

place, or place it directly in position.

Disposal

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pa-

ckaging in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to

a recycling centre.

This product is governed by the European Directive

2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment

(WEEE). Do not dispose of this product as normal domestic

waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via

an ofﬁ cially approved waste disposal company.

The battery should be removed before the product is dis-

posed of and should be disposed of separately from the

product at suitable collection points.

Removing the storage battery

Loosen the screws of the solar unit and remove the cover. After-

wards, you can remove the storage battery.
