T o get full satis faction from the ho b, please read these i nstructi ons carefully and keep th em for future consultation.

• T o use the hob, turn the knob(s) clockwise and set it/them
to the required power .
• T o turn the ho b off , turn the knob(s) back to positi on “0”.
• The hob is fitted with residual heat indicators. These light
up when the cooking zones reach temperatures that could
cause burns. These indicators remain alight after the
cooking zo nes are switche d off , and turn off only wh en the
zones are no long er hot enough to be da ngerous.
Using t he W arm keepin g zone
The function of this zone is to maintain food warm.
• T urn the con trol knob clockwise to positio n .
The indicator light (9) switches on.
• T o switch this zone off , turn the knob to position “0”.
Using t he dual coo king zone
• T urn the control knob anti-clockwise to po sition .
• The indicator light (8) switches on.
• T o switch the dual coo king zone off, turn the knob to
position “0” .
Using the oval dual cooking zone and warm keepin g zone
• T urn the kn ob anti-clockwise to position .
• The indicator lights (8 and 9) switch on.
• T o switch the oval dual cooking zone off , turn the con trol
knob to position “0”.
Note: T o use the oval dual cooking zone, make sure that the
control knob of the rea r left coking zone is set to one of the
positions 1 to 6.
Important:
T o avoid permanently damaging the glass-ceramic top, do
not use:
- P ots with bottoms th at are not pe rfectly flat.
- Metal pots with enamelled bottom.

PROTECTI NG THE ENVIRONMEN T
Disposal of packaging materials
• T he packing material can all be fully recycled, as
confirmed by the recycl ing symbol .
• T he various parts of the packing must not be sent for
waste, but recycled in conformity with the regulations
imposed by local authorities.
Disposal of used household appliances
• This appliance is marked according to the European
directive 2002/96/EC on W aste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE). By ensuring this product
is disposed of correctly , you will help prevent potential
negative consequen ces for the environment and human
health, which could otherwise be caused by
inappropriate waste handling of this product.
• T he symbol on the product, or on the documents
accompanying the product, indicates that this appliance
may not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall
be handed over to the applicable collection point for
the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
Disposal must be carried out in accordance with local
environmental regulations for waste disposal.
For more detailed information about treatment,
recovery and recycling of this product, please contact
your local city office, your household waste disposal
service or the shop where you purchased the product.
Energy saving
• U se pots and pans whose bottom diameter is equal to
that of the cooker plates, or slightly larger .
• O nly use flat-bottomed pots and pans.
• I f possible, keep the pot covered when cooking.
• C ook vegetables, potatoes, etc. with little water in
order to cut down cooking time.
• A pressure cooker allows you to save even more
energy and time.
CAU TION
• T his appliance is not intended fo r use by persons
(including child ren) with reduced ph ysical,
sensory or mental capabilit ies or lack of
expe rience and knowledge u nless they have been
given initial supervis ion or instruction concer ning
use of the appliance by a person responsible fo r
their safety . Children should be supervis ed to
ensure that they do no t play with the appliance.
• The appliance is not intended to be operated by means
of an exter nal timer or separa te remot e-contro l system.
• S hould the hob become cracked or brok en, do not use
it and call the After Sales Service immed iately .
• I f the hob incorporates halogen cook ing elements, do
not stare at them.
• T he hob is designed for use as a domestic food cooker
only . No other type of use is allowed. The Manufacturer
declines all responsibi lity for inappro priate use or
incorrect setting of the controls.
• D o not expose the hob to atmospheric agents.
• A ny repairs or adjustments must be carrie d out
exclusively by an authorised technician.
• A void touching the hob with wet hands or using it when
barefoot.
• Do not allow c hildren to touch:
- the hob in general, to avoid burns.
During and immediately after use the hob reaches
extremely high temperatures;
- packing materials (bags, polystyrene, metal parts, etc.);
- the hob to be scrapped.
• M ake sure that t he electrical wires of other electrical
appliances near the hob do not come into contact with
hot parts of the hob itself.
• A lways keep a watch on pans when cooking with oil
and grease. The oil and grease might overheat and
catch fire!
• D o not use the hob as a support or worktop.
• D o not leave the hot plates/cookers turned on when
they are empty .
• D o not rest plastic, aluminium foil, cloths, paper etc. on
the hot plates/cookers.
• T he hob is fitted with hot plates/cookers of different
sizes. Use pans whose bottom diameter is equal to that
of the hot plates/cookers, or slightly larger .
BEFORE USING THE COOKING HOB
Before use, remove:
- adhesives stuck on the hob;
- cardboard guards and protective plastic film;
- check whether the hob has been damaged during
transport. If in doubt , contact the After Sal es Service.

Care and maintenance
Important: never clean the appliance wit h high pressure
water or steam cleaning equi pment.
• C lean the hob, when it is cool, after each use. T his will
prevent the build-up of dirt and make cleaning easier .
• U se a clean cloth, absorbent kitchen wipes and washing
up liquid or a specif ic glass ceramic cleaner .
• R emove baked-on dirt with the special scraper tool
(if provided) a nd specific cleani ng products.
• A ny food spills should be cleaned off before they dry .
• D o not use abrasive products, chlorine-based cleaners,
oven-cleaner spray or pan scourers.
• T he hob should be treated periodically with specific
products available from the shops, following the
manufacturer's instructions.
T elescopic knobs (depending on model)
• T he knobs can be lifted approx. 1 cm for cleaning .
• A fter cleaning, restore the knob to its original position.
T ROUBLESHOOT ING GUIDE
The hob does not work:
- Make sure that the power supply is on.
- T urn the hob off and on again, to make sure that the
problem has been solved.
- Make sure that the knob is not turned to “0”.
T urn the multi-pole swit ch to “Off ” for a few minutes
and then turn it back to “On” .
The hob will not switch off:
- disconnec t the hob immedia tely from the power
supply .
