Troubleshooting
My juice extractor does not work:
Plug another household appliance into the same wall
socket to nd out if it works or not.
Have the juice extractor checked at the service centre.
The appliance extracts little juice or vibrates:
Switch off the appliance, remove pulp residue from the
strainer ltration net. Empty the pulp container if full.
Replace the strainer if broken.
Preparing healthy and delicious juice
Fruit and vegetables for juice extraction process should
be fresh and well washed. Vegetables should be cleaned
of sand and soil under running water and peeled.
Handbooks on juice preparation recommend soaking the
vegetables in water with salt and citric acid for 5 minutes.
Prepared in this way, vegetables do not darken during
processing and the juice has a natural colour.
Berry fruits should be washed directly before use, so
they retain their freshness.
Your selection of fruit and vegetables depends on
the time of year, your tastes and recommended diet.
Nutritional values of fruit and vegetable juices depend on
the method of preparation.
For perfect avour and fragrance, juices should be made
with ripe, fresh and juicy fruits and vegetables.
The following vegetables are best to juice: tomatoes,
carrots, celeries, beetroots, parsleys, onions, cabbages,
cucumbers, black turnip, rhubarb, etc.
Vegetables like radish, chives, green parsley, dill and
cress can be added to juice nely chopped.
Almost all kinds of fruit are suitable for juicing.
After washing, apples, peaches, apricots and plums
should be blanched in boiling water on a strainer.
Make sure to remove stones from the fruit you wish to
juice, as they may damage your appliance.
Juicing plums, blueberries, raspberries, soft pears and
apples, or other soft fruit may be problematic, as the
esh of these fruit turns into a spongy pulp, blocking the
strainer mesh. To process this type of fruit successfully,
it is best to add them in small quantities to other fruit
or vegetables. More frequent cleaning of the strainer is
required.
Root vegetables and hard fruit should be cut into pieces
small enough to pass through the feeder tube. Cut the
apples into pieces (if not small enough to enter the
feeder tube) without peeling and coring.
melons, etc.) or level 2 (position II high speed rotation for
hard fruit or vegetables such as carrots, celery, apples, etc.).
See a table on page 52 for detailed information
(examples) on the recommended speed level for different
fruit and vegetables.
2
Insert pieces of fruit or vegetable into the feeder tube
on the lid (12) and guide them gently through with the
pusher (13).
Never insert foreign objects or your ngers into
the feed tube.
Transfer the extracted juice from the container into
glasses, cups, etc.
The jug
(14) has a froth separator (15) to stop the dense
juice fractions and the froth when the juice is distributed
into other receptacles.
Feel encouraged to drink the juices as they are,
without removing the naturally occurring pulp
and froth. It is not recommended to remove the
froth separator from the jug.t
After each use (Fig. E)
1
Switch off the appliance, turning the switch (4) to „0”.
2
Unplug the appliance.
Disassemble the appliance. Proceed as described above
in section “Preparing for operation (disassembling)”
(Fig. B).
Prevent overlling the pulp container. Excess
pulp can spill out while leaning the container
on disassembly.
Cleaning and maintenance
If water or juice leaks into the inside of the motor unit,
abort operation immediately and have the appliance
checked at the service centre.
Wash the appliance thoroughly after every use to prevent
adhesion of juice and pulp to the walls.
Wipe the housing with a damp cloth with a few drops of
washing liquid.
Wash the following elements in warm soapy water:
pulp container, juice bowl, lid, pusher and jug with froth
separator. You can also wash them in a dishwasher at
max. 60°C.
Use the brush
(16) to remove dirt from crevices and
corners of the appliance. After the motor has stopped
completely, disassemble the appliance and wash all of
its parts (see Fig. B). Remove the pulp from the pulp
container. Wash the strainer only with the brush supplied
with your appliance (16). Do not try to use any metal
brushes for washing the strainer!
Some parts of the appliance may change colour after
long-term use. It is not a defect.
Orange stains from carrot juice can be removed
