Detection of metal beams

1. Press the "Metal" key once. The LCD screen displayed

is opened. Keep the "On"

key pressed during beam detection

2. Repeat procedures 1-5 described in "Detection of

wooden beams".

Detection of live wires

Live wires can be detected when the "Live Wire"

pictogram is shown on the LCD. When a live wire is

detected the red LED light for a live wire will come on. A

static electrical charge can build up in a wall with wall

plates. In other surfaces the area in which voltage is

detected can be many centimetres wider than the actual

electric wire. To ease finding the wire position you can

hold the unit 0.5 inches/12.7 mm away from the

wall surface during scanning.

Warning: shielded wires or live wires in metal ducts,

casings, walls containing metal or thick, solid walls

are not detected. Always switch the mains power off

when you are working near wiring.

The unit is designed to detect 230 Volt alternating

currents in live electrical wires. It also detects the

presence of live wires with more than 230 Volts.

Laser level

1. Press the laser key and keep the "on" key pressed.

The laser line is then always on. Pressing the laser

button again switches it off.

2. You can adjust the laser beam by turning the

adjusting ring and setting an angle of 45 or 90

degrees to the left or right.

3. You can also switch the laser on during detection by

keeping the “on” key pressed.

Adjusting legs

The adjusting legs enable the laser line to be set level on

horizontal or vertical surfaces.

Length of projected laser line: to max. 6 metres

Terms of the guarantee

The guarantee period for PIN-136 is 2 years from the date of

purchase. During the guarantee period, ELTRA NV will remedy

any defect that is attributable to faulty materials or

manufacture. ELTRA NV may elect either to replace or repair

the defective appliance.

ELTRA NV is under no obligation to repair or replace an

appliance where a defect arises due to damage, inappropriate

use, modifications or alterations made or occurring after the

purchase date.

Return the faulty appliance, together with proof of purchase, to

the shop from which it was purchased. Always include a note

describing the problem.

Damage

Under no circumstances can ELTRA NV be held liable for

damage of any kind where the appliance has not been

installed in accordance with the instructions provided, nor for

damage resulting from unforeseeable circumstances such as

natural disaster, lightning strike, etc. All such consequential

costs are therefore for the exclusive account of the purchaser

and are not covered under the terms of the guarantee.
