INSERTING/REPLACINGTHEBA TTERIES
Thevoltagetesterneedsbatterypowerforitsbasicfunctionasatwo-polevoltagetesterwithavoltagerangeindicatorand
itsadditionalfunctionssuchasmeteringpointlight,continuitytest,phasesequenceindicationor“singlepole”phasetester.
T womicrobatteries(typeAAA/LR03,includedindelivery)arerequiredforthispurpose.Theuseofrechargeablebatteries
isnotpermitted.
T oinsert/replacethebattery ,proceedasfollows:
• Removethevoltagetesterfromallmeteringpointsandattachtheprotectivecovertotheprobes.
• Openthebatterycompartment(17)byreleasingthelockwithaatobject
(e.g.wideslotscrewdriver)ina90°counter-clockwiserotation. Atitsside,asmallgrooveis
exposedthatallowsyouremovethebatterycompartmentcoverfromthedevice.
• Inserttwonewmicro-batteries(LR03/AAA)intothebatterycompartment.Payattentiontothe
polarityindicatedonthebatterycompartmentcover .Ifpossible,usealkalinebatteries.They
guaranteealongerservicelife.

intendedtoindicateDCand ACvoltagesintherangeof12to690V ,andpolaritybyapplyingbipolar. Thevoltagerangesare
representedin7levels.
Startingatanominalvoltageof50V/ACor120V/DC,awarningindicatorforthevoltagerangeswillashsignalizingthe
warningofdangerousvoltage.Thiswarningindicationisalsodisplayedwhenthebatteriesareempty .
Thevoltagetestercomplieswiththestandardfortwo-polevoltagetesters(EN61243-3/DINVDE0682-401)andprotection
typeIP64(dustandsplashproof),andisintendedfordryordampindoorandoutdoorlocations.Operatingthedeviceduring
rainfallorprecipitationisnotpermitted.Thevoltagetesterisdesignedforusebyqualiedelectriciansinconjunctionwith
personalprotectiveequipment.
ThedevicefeaturesanLCDdisplaywithanindicatorofthetestvoltagerealvalue,anaudio-visualcontinuitytester,built-in
measurementpointlightandthefunction“singlepole”phasetester.Forthetestertofunctiontwomicrobatteries(type AAA/
LR03)arerequired.Operationwithrechargeablebatteriesisnotpermitted.
