- If the car or boat does not start, wait until the starter
has charged completely (Green 14V LED ON), without
disconnecting the clamps from the battery, and try starting
the engine again.
After a successful start, with the engine running, follow the
sequence of instructions below with great care:
- Disconnect the black clamp (negative) from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the red clamp (positive) from the vehicle.
- Always store in a safe, dry place.
The starter does not need charging before storing it away.
4.2. Pre-charging methods
Sometimes, the vehicle battery is so low that it is unable to charge
the starter completely and the red “FAULT” LED comes on (g.
A-5).
In this case the starter must be charged using:
a. another car battery: connect the clamps to the battery poles and
press the “ON/OFF” button in gureA-3;
b. the 12V cigarette lighter socket of another vehicle;
c. a 5V / 2A mini USB port (g.A-8);
NB: the charging times depend on the system used and vary from
about one minute in case a- up to about twenty minutes in case
c- which is the slowest.
4.3Using thestarterWITHOUT thevehiclebattery (BYPASS
MODEgureB):
If the vehicle low battery charge system fails, it is always possible to
use a pre-charge method, as described in the previous paragraph,
following the exact sequence below:
- disconnect the positive terminal from the battery;
- connect the starter as seen in gure B-1;
- press and hold the “ON/OFF” button (g. A-3);
- the green LED in g.A-5 comes on;
- start the engine;
- connect the positive terminal to the battery together with the
starter positive clamp (g.B-2);
- only remove the starter clamps after tightening the battery
terminals.
- press the OFF button (g. A-3).
WARNING:
Never leave the engine running without rmly
fastening the battery connections.
In this way, the clamps remain energised for a few minutes:
press the OFF button as soon as the operation has been
completed,donotshort-circuittheclamps,donotinvertthe
polarity.
4.4Usingthe“GLOW”function
Diesel engines activate the “glow” function
to warm up the
combustion chambers to help ignition in cold weather conditions;
if the vehicle battery is too low, the engine chambers may not be
warmed up sufciently. In such a situation, when the starter is
completely charged, press the “GLOW” button (g.A-4), the LED
in g.A-5 comes on alternating between red and green. Start the
dashboard using the ignition key and wait for 4-6 seconds before
completing ignition with the key.
5.DISPOSAL
The user is obliged to dispose of this equipment as mixed municipal
solid waste, contacting an authorised collection centre. Contact the
local solid waste authority for information on recycling.

Do not burn the battery to dispose of it. This could cause an
explosion.

1. SICUREZZA GENERALE PER L’USO DI QUESTO AVVIATORE
Allo scopo di ridurre il rischio di lesioni personali e di danni
all’attrezzatura, vi raccomandiamo di usare l’avviatore
rispettando sempre le fondamentali misure precauzionali
sulla sicurezza.
- Le persone inesperte devono essere opportunamente
istruite prima di utilizzare l’apparecchio.

giochino con l’apparecchio.
- Leggere attentamente e seguire le istruzioni del manuale del
veicolochesivuoleavviare:ilcostruttoredelveicolopuò

Proteggere gli occhi. Indossare sempre occhiali
protettivi quando si lavora con accumulatori al piombo
acido.

Evitare il contatto con l’acido della batteria. Nel caso si
venga investiti o si venga a contatto con l’acido,
risciacquare immediatamente la parte interessata con
acqua pulita. Continuare a risciacquare no all’arrivo del medico.

È importante collegare i cavi alle corrette polarità:
Collegare la pinza di carica di colore rosso al morsetto
positivo della batteria (simbolo +).
Collegare la pinza di carica di colore nero al telaio del veicolo
o al morsetto negativo della batteria, lontano dal condotto del
carburante.
- Usare l’avviatore in aree ben ventilate. Non tentare di
effettuare avviamenti quando ci si trova in mezzo a gas o
liquidi inammabili.
- Impedire alle pinze nere e rosse di venire in contatto.
- SOLO PER SISTEMI A 12 VOLT! Usare solo su veicoli con
sistemi elettrici a 12 volt.
- USARE SOLO IN CASO DI EMERGENZA. Usare esclusivamente
per effettuare l’avviamento.
- Evitare di lavorare da soli. Nel caso di incidente l’assistente può
prestare aiuto.

Evitare le scosse elettriche. Usare estrema cautela
nell’applicare le pinze a dei conduttori o barre di
distribuzione non isolati. Evitare il contatto corporeo
con superci quali tubi, radiatori e armadi metallici mentre si sta
misurando il valore di tensione della batteria del veicolo.
