    ENNECK STRING PARENT UNITTo recharge the batteries connect the adapter.TURN ON / OFFTo turn a unit ON or OFF, press and hold.SET UP1. Insert batteries / adapters (as shown in the Power section).2. Turn the baby unit ON and then the parent unit.3. Place the 2 units close to each other for 5 seconds. Thisallows the units to recognize each other as family.4. Position the units no more than 300 meters (984 feet)from each other.The battery icon will animate to show it is charging.appears with no animation when the battery is fullyrecharged. Charge the batteries for 12 hours before 1st useand press RESET. After the first charge, you only need tocharge the unit until the battery icon shows it is full.For best results: Place the units away from electrical or mechanical objects,direct sunlight and moisture. Do not exceed the 300-meter (984-foot) transmissionrange of the units.     ENYou may need to experiment with various locations to getthe best reception.CONNECTION SIGNAL STATUSThe connection iconwill show you the status of thesignal between the units.SELECT CHANNELS BABY UNITLOST LINKYou can change the channel (if there is interference or problemlinking the 2 units) by pressingon the baby unit.NORMAL SIGNAL(The graphics are animatedwhen the 2 units are linked.)NIGHTLIGHT BABY UNITPressto turn the nightlight ON / OFF.LOST-LINK ALARMWhen the parent unit cannot receive data from the baby unit(due to interference or out-of-range distance), an alarm willsound andwill flash. The temperature reading will displayas - - -. The alarm sound will stop only when the connectionbetween the two units is linked again.CHANGE VOLUMETo change the volume (0-5), press + / - on the parent unit. 0= mute and 5 = high volume.NOTE All alarm sounds are independent of the volume level.TEMPERATURE DISPLAYNOTE You may hear a high pitched noise if the parent unitis placed too closely to the baby unit. The noise will stopsounding once the units are moved away from one another.The baby unit measures the surrounding temperature. If- - - is displayed, the baby unit cannot transmit thetemperature reading.SOUND LIGHT INDICATORSSlide the C / F switch in the parent unit battery compartmentto your desired setting.The sound light indicators on the parent unit can alert youvisually to a babys sound.
